would it be aceptable to re-start the ranking system then if people have been point farming. the best player would be back up there in no time and the point farmers lost.

plus given this new patch has a hell of alot of fixes, a re-start would be good. top players would lose there stats yes and hard work but who knows who they are anyway with point farming by the sounds of it too easy.

And this is just one of the many problems with a point system. Why not just dump it altogether?

The only point system that matters is wins and loses.

Had this kid who always seems to like to do that, go around in servers and do nothing but hit 'negative' over and over and everyone gets really annoyed. If you haven't seen this guy his name is JackBurtonEDF, just sits there and spams commands. Poor kid has no life and just sits there and spams the game.

OHHHHH I HATE THAT GUY! We caught him slippin' once and we dropped C-4 on back. Accidently killed the whole squad but we got his ass! People were getting kicked like crazy for team killing him.

I like the game but i miss some jump and run elements here, perhaps they should add it into patch 1.4. They could actually add some space levels with space marines fighting evil medieval knights with sword and shield. But of course what I miss most is a level where some evil statpadding gorillas make an attack on the USA and then The US, MECs and Chineese forge an alliance against the gorillas.

i cant wait for this patch, even though i just got the game and just found out about all of its problems. I still didnt have to wait as long as you guys did for this patch. I really hope they fix the probs with crashing, i crash 80% of the time i play the first map, and 100% on the second map. only 3 weeks left HOO-AH!!

Aye but with all that point farming that been talked about it means nothing in my view. I’ll respect players in games I play that’s simple you can see there in game skills as for stats they mean little to me.


I respect that you’ve spent an unhealthy time playing this game, your probably a great player but stats can only be appreciated on a personal level, there too many top ranked players out there that have farmed there way there.

With a new solid build, that hindered point farming and a few other cheats I think it would be good to start over, Even E.A felt that thay had to crack down officially that suggests how wide spread it was.

I don’t really have anything against the points system, means little to me but I like they way that when you’ve done well you get the medal. I thought it was nice touch and the way the weapons Unlock I thought was a nice touch to encourage you to play, granted I’ve only unlocked the one but happy to get a good few medals and they seemed to be relevant to my play in the match. I got one by pulling off a great move in a Heli and killed about 7 good players.

As for the official Ranking thing, that does mean nothing to me. Higher ranking players are basically the guy and girls who spent the last few months playing solid and I’ve not been able to do that, there knowledge of the maps might be better but skill wise only occasionally do I see someone that is ahead of the pack.

I take it there is a leader board?

Further thinking you can come to the conclusion that re-setting the stats is one way but in all honesty after the patch and given time those point farmers will be lost anyway from the top of any list. The top players with real skill will keep on accumulating were as the cheap farmers will be lost and if they feel the need to farm then they obviously don’t rate themselves.

I’m happy just to get a stable game with a good group of players and able to win points and maps with my side. Unfortunately I’ve been getting the blue screen of death when accessing commander mode so hoping the patch fixes this every other game runs fine.

statpadders dont necessarily have to be bad players, they just have more points because of their farming. And, having more points means as much as .. nothing. But im just twatting around.. Dont mind me.

not at all but I bet you'll find as you put it statpadders are not usually the better players online as the good players just dont need lame points they have the natural skill to count on.

Average players with average skills well thats a different story.
