Single Player and Multiplayer Portal 2 DLC Announced

Valve has just, literally just this minute, announced the first upcoming DLC for Portal 2. The DLC will be for both single player and multiplayer.

Portal 2 DLC #1 will offer new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more.

Targeted for release this summer, Portal 2 DLC #1 will be offered free of charge for the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3.

The first DLC is slated for a vague Summer release period for all platforms, and as mentioned, will be free for everyone!

Presently holding a 95% score at Metacritic, Portal 2 is currently the top rated multiplatform title of 2011.

Huh?... How did VALVe make the Xbox 360 DLC free? I thought they couldn't... Was that a false perception? It's certainly not DLC on the disc, since the hardcore community would've found it by now. Weird... This is a first.
