Dead Space 2 Live Event Today!

The team from Visceral and EA are pleased to announce a live event for Dead Space 2 slated to occur in just a few short hours.

The event will feature Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer, playing host and giving an exclusive look at the game prior to its release.

As noted, the event begins at 4:30PM PST (7:30PM EST) and features interviews, commentary, gameplay footage, and giveaways. Be sure to tune in later this evening!

I'm beginning to understand why the media uses third-parties to represent game developers (Spike TV, etc.)... With the exception of the Public Relations staff member, everybody... Appears disorganized and overly shy. I guess third-parties (such as guest celebrities) make sense when used for audiences of 2,600+. I've always assumed everybody has a presentable side, which makes third-parties too superficial to represent what game developers want to say. Never would've expected problems using a Powerpoint remote. The event itself was fun though, and while there is lag (which is expected), the whole thing went uninterrupted with multiple cameras for various angles (one of which needs color correction). And with UStream, there's no regional legal issues which is always refreshingly appreciated. Overall I enjoyed it, while learning why third-parties exist despite my disapproval for them.
