I'm the Freeman is Amazing, Spectacular, and Fan Made

A teaser for an animated short by Half-Life fan, Marco Spitonim was released the other day. The teaser trailer entitled "I'm the Freeman" is a beautifully done animated short based on the Half-Life 2 universe. WARNING: Your jaw will end up on the floor!

There has been no word on when the full video will be released or any additional details.

So, here is the teaser, but at the end there won't be any short movie, just a trailer which it will
be a lot longer, packed with more contents and telling a little bit about the story.

Damn... Would've been nice if he had the time and resources to develop a full movie, rather than a full video trailer. Oh well, least there's two other live-action films to hope for. Also, the author wrote a treatment for Half-Life 1, so this is sort of the second film (even though the first doesn't exist). The transit sequence is apparently a flashback to the end of the first movie (again, despite that it doesn't exist) representing Gordon's nightmares during his time in stasis which G-Man induced.

Well based on what the author said on his website (the quote in the previous post), there will be a longer video in the style of a trailer, rather than a full movie (note I said movie, not video). Consider a full trailer in the works (versus the teaser you see now), but it's "advertising" something that won't actually exist (and apparently never intended to). I must say though, I'm amazed at the way Gordon and the resistance members run; it looks like it's motion captured, but from what his website claims, it's just a PC with a 3D package. However, his credentials does include working at the special effects company Peter Jackson uses in his films, so the author must've worked his ass off to learn skills such as believable animations without motion-capture. What I'm wondering is whether or not he will use the written treatment for the first movie (which may also be a trailer actually). If I am understanding him correctly, he went with the second movie because it is more visually appealing (more special effects driven maybe?).

Y'know, this is the sort of stuff I'd actually like to pay for to watch at a cinema.
