Remedy has released the third part of their featurette series for Alan Wake. Here is the third and final part entitled "Building the Drama."

Not sure if Remedy Entertainment had any involvement with the choice of platform release considering their lack of authority over Microsoft. I would say Microsoft called that shot and Remedy was more or less forced to follow orders (though I doubt they would've complained, since they get paid either way).
