Pre-Order Left 4 Dead 2 and Get the Demo Early

In a brief announcement to Joystiq, Valve's Doug Lombardi has confirmed that those who pre-order Left 4 Dead 2 will gain early access to the demo.

According to Valve's PR guru, users who pre-order the upcoming zombie survival title at "participating retailers or [via] Steam" will gain "advanced access to the demo," which will eventually land on both platforms for all users prior to the game's November 17 launch.

If you couldn't gather from the quote, this early access offer does apply to both the Xbox 360 pre-orders and those who purchase the game through Steam.

Same, I haven't even play that much of L4D one. Just started playing a little more. I hope they start with a `$30 mark, I might pick it up.

Aww thats Cool

Once that demo comes out someone is going to mod the maps to work with L4D1 And you wont have to pre order the game.

I"m preorder it because I got some money to waste and well... I don't care if its L4D1, 2, or 213409742180 version it all looks good to me.

I'll wait for the L4D "value pack" due out in 2012 containing all versions from L4D 1 to 10...

... I think we all are. I remember reading this and laughing at the silly-sounding rumor and how far-fetched it was... Boy were we blindsided upon learning the truth. I mean, Ow... That was a sucker-punch.
