The vicious circle of angry, jaded gamers just keeps on going. The boycott group against Left 4 Dead 2 has issued a response to recent comments made by Valve. As you recall, Valve has openly and repeatedly defended their decision and reasons behind making a full sequel to Left 4 Dead and to charge "full price" for it.
As with any boycott group, the L4D2 Boycott group didn't quite buy (haha, get it?) the company's explanation and reasoning as to why the game is slated to be released so soon after the first title. The group issued a new statement on their community announcement page.
The group states that they will be the subject of an upcoming Podcast and a few other interviews. The group wants to stress that they do not want to be perceived as a group of whiners as they have apparently taken steps "to try and work with Valve."
Unless Valve changes their plans as a direct result of this group's efforts, we at CS-Nation will no longer cover the L4D2 Boycott group's actions or updates.

Here we are, nine days later and 25,000 members stronger in our movement. Since the last time we posted, we had sent an email to Valve with the hopes of getting a response. A few days ago, we received such a response, and we would like to address its content.
First, Valve has said they will be looking into the allegations of forum censoring on official Steam forums. So far, we've received no word back as to any action taken.
Second, Valve has issued a statement not much different than the article on Kotaku regarding new content for L4D1.
While we are excited about the idea of new content, we are still in the dark about it. What sort of content is it? For all we know, it could be a new main menu screen. Is it a new map, is it new monsters, is it new weapons, etc...? We'd like to know what is going to be in this new content.
Furthermore, when will this content be released? Is there any sort of timetable within which the content will be made available? These are all questions we would like Valve to elaborate on.
Last, Valve is trying to address the community split from releasing a new game in the series. While they did not go into details, and are still working on it, we will keep you posted. (If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to write up in a post on our forums).
We will be responding to Valve to follow up on their latest statement to us.
