    Upcoming Update

According to today's news update from Valve, there will be a substantial update released tonight for Counter-Strike: Source. The update will be roughly 80MB in size and will contain two new maps (de_port and de_inferno) as well as a number of smaller changes to the game. If you would like to see how the development of de_inferno came about, be sure and view Valve's online timeline for the ported map (really interesting stuff).

Fabulous. I'm also excited at "smaller changes". I get excited easily.

That timeline feature is really pretty cool, watching stuff get shuffled for gameplay and the gradual textures/pretty stuff being added in.

        I HAVE A MASSIVE HARDON.

Inferno is the best competitive play map Counter-Strike has so it's good source is finally getting it. Though I hope they don't do something like they did on dust2 where like bombsite A has nowhere to hide.

I agree with peagle, that timeline feature is awesome, it's kind of neat to show my friends who are just now getting into Source.

I can't wait for this release.

It looks nice, but I'm more interested in Port right now. The timeline was a great idea, I hope they'll do it with future maps too.

Even if it wasn't delayed, these usually don't come out until 9PM (EST)/ 6PM (PST) soo... not that bad of a delay.

Except for those of us on the east coast who have to get up early to work tomorrow. Then the two hours lost would be annoying.

Alright, update time, the best time.

I do hate having to do triage on my custom models though, no fault of Valve's of course.

75mb of the 80 is an Asian font fix, the rest is the de_port and de_inferno maps.

I love the Inferno timeline. It's cool to see the progress of the map from start to finish.

                            Wo...Work...?

Such a strange word. Actually, I see your point. I'd probably see it a lot better should I be hired for a summer job soon. Though it's not like these maps aren't going to stick around forever.

Didn't you hear, Zips? You'll only be able to play inferno and port for two hours tonight, then Valve is going to shut all their servers down and never come back again.
