Hence it says PERMENANTLY banned. YES FINALLY THIS WILL WOOP THE HACKZORZ ASS'
and then the banned hackers will create a new account with free CS:S just like they did to begin with because valve refuses to fix this obvious exploit.

Kind of makes you wonder if they didn't already start with preliminary monitoring...

Start a week ago, issue this warning now, and actually see how many bother to uninstall.

Maybe I shouldn't say this. But VAC2 has been in testing for the past 2 weeks already. It's already on our clans server, and we have a list a mile long of offenders.

That isn't VAC2. VAC has always been a privately done ban from Valve. Server admins won't have any visible list to look at on their end of things.

If it's anything like when the orignal, vac2 will calm the rampant cheating, there will be a war between them, update vac, update cheats, update vac.... and of course there will always be those 'private' cheats that are never released and detected. But as is life.
Uh, did you even play CS 1.6? The original VAC was next to worthless. It started out well in the beginning, banning a decent amount of people, but now you can go to any cheat site, find VAC proof cheats (which are publicly released, not private) and never have to worry about being detected by VAC no matter how many times it is updated.
I mean I use a hack *wait wait stop hating me* OFFLINE when checking out peoples demos to better spot the cheaters. And I REALLY don't want to accidentally get perm banned for that, know what i mean? So I guess I'll just rely on vac2 to do it's job :)
With the current VAC, you can't get banned unless you join a protected server. So if you're just watching demos, you're safe. I suspect VAC2 will work the same way.

                    WRONG :-D

oh yeah another thing comes to mind. all those people pirating CSS can hack and not get banned because they never actually bought the game, they just create a random account and BANG theyre in! so if they get permabanned they just create a new account and BANG theyre in again.

PS-Im not pirating CSS guys, i just know how to do it, lol.

                    edit 2:

                    HitmanCodename48 beat me to it.

I dont get you guyz, u moan about when vac2 is coming so valve release's some info telling you that vac2 is coming and all you do now is say why didnt they keep it quiet?!?!?!?, how can they keep it quiet if you want to know when its coming?!??, anyone?, and for all you people doubting vac2. i have alot of faith in vac2, i mean how long has cs:s been out?,how long has it took for us now all to notice that hackers are coming threw. its been ages and they only just coming out now. another thing you cant just pick up hl2 for a tenner or a fiver like the last one. sure you can download it, but that wont last long. i think valve have been looking to see what cheats people are making looking at the source code for the hacks and just making ways to combat them. which is just them making valves job easier. valve will know how to combat any cheats. they know all the in's and outs of the source engine how long they take making it?!?!?!?. sorry to go on but another thing, i think hl2 and cs:s are alot more complex than hl1 and cs1 ever was. dont you?

                              Positive news tbh

It's just a pity that 1.6 won't benefit from this (so I've been told)

and yeah I'd have just introduced it a bit more Stealthy and banned em all tbh :P

Yes I played 1.6 for a little while but not all that long. I was refering to when vac orignally came out, and yes, it was a hit when it debued. Only later did it become worthless. I quit playing cs about 2 and a half years ago give or take. A little while after it stopped doing that much good.

As for this one, i certainly hope so :) I trust that vac2 will do a good job, but i always like to double check and make sure it doesn't miss anything :)
