VAC Coming to Source Shortly

pesonally, i cant wait for VAC to be up and running. Nothing worse than being beaten by some lamer who isn't good enough to play without cheating. Spoils the games for honest people. I'd rather be bad at a game than being a good cheat.

Excellent. Not yet had any real trouble with hackers in CS:S tbh, but it's nice to know that VAC is coming.

You know, this is nice and all, but again, for spending 55 dollars, shouldn't this have been implimented in the first place? VALVe got my money this time, but I think I'm going to be voting them off the island by holding onto my money next time they sell something.

we can rejoice for awhile,but soon ppl will make hacks that is vac2-proof and valve will again give it up

Good for VAC I suppose. I hope it includes a few things for server admins, like the ability for an admin to get a SS of someone's screen, hardware banning, etc. In other words, I hope it's like PB, except without the language filter, random kicking, and crashes to desktop.



I wish they would update VAC for CS and CZ though. I don't really play CSS as much as regular CS, and we haven't had a VAC update for months.

But if Valve is updating VAC to work with Source, you can't possibly say they "gave it up." That would be a direct contradiction and make you look like an idiot.

I've seen maybe 2 cheaters the whole time I've been playing souce, since the very first day of the beta. 99 percent of the time its just newbies calling better skilled players, hackers. Hopefully, they'll include a setting that will disallow the word hacker to be typed.
