Not for the snobby kids. Where their parents don't give a damn about their own brats and gives them a thousand dollars to spend every week.

I don't search the yellow pages, unless I want to look a resturant, for which would NOT be in the yellow paged part of the book.

oh la la, I like when I get quoted in mailbags .. plus it actually helped me understand why certain maps might not be included thus far ... I still wish they would of taken the same attention to Piranesai and Chateu that they did for Office ... Office is simply AMAZING example of what a source map should be like

Yes CS:S is easier to play if u have a good pc because the recoil is much easier to handle.

No doubt about that. We're receiving a huge amount of POTD submissions that basically amount to, "Hey, check out these ragdolls!" We get it, it's funny when one guy lays on top of another. OMG It's almost like they're gay! h0h0h0!!!
This made me laugh because I've done that before :E

The reason CPL isn't going to move to source is because of the lack of maps. I know Nuke isn't in it, but if I remember correctly, inferno isn't in it either?

Anyway, most of the maps are cs_ maps, so you're not going to see CPL go to it anytime soon.

You mean they aren't going to move to source at least for now. Valve's said that they would add in the rest of the maps. I mean, valve could (and I see no reason not to) release all maps on the day half-life 2 is released. Which may be enough time to actually consider it being at the CPL, probably not.

                            Backalley's one of my favorites.

Backalley, oilrig, airstrip, storm, torn, nuke, havana, piranesi, train; I can't play those nearly enough. Out of those, train is about the only one I ever get to play, and that about once a month. I can maybe find an oilrig if I'm really lucky. The others, players usually votemap it away if it even comes up.

Italy, inferno, assault, militia, office; these are good but can be played too much, especially if they're in a miniscule map cycle.

dust, dust2, aztec; these are played WAY too much. And dust just sucks, it's not really even a balanced map. Dust2's fine except overplayed, and aztec just turns into awp war.

(I mean seriously, in dust, if T's want to go to bombsite A (I still hear people calling it B when it got changed to A in 1.6), they basically have to go in one path only, there aren't any other options. They have almost no chance of planting at B, because it's CT spawn. To make it worse, servers with lots of players basically turn it into a bloodbath. The strategical options of this map are basically nil, yet it's the most played map ever. It seriously bugs me.)

There's some other good maps that are good for kicks. Vegas is one. Also, every now and then I see a custom map, or a map that used to be official way back when. Thunder was a really good map, I've only ever played it once. Tundra, too.

Some custom maps can be good too, as long as they're ones with objectives. I really, really hate non-objective maps like awp_map or iceworld, unless they're really done well with lots of cover. Some iceworld variations aren't /too/ bad.

Seriously, though, I wish the average map cycle of a server went beyond 3-5 maps, which seem to automatically include dust, dust2, and aztec.

For sure, once they convert more of the traditional de_ bomb maps, the CPL will switch over to CS Source. Didn't the WCG use CS:CZ in their last tourney? I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time before we see them switch over officially. I'd say they'll announce it by Spring 2005. CS:S just needs to be a more polished retail product. (More player skins, maps converted over, etc.)
