IF YOU LIKE SOURCE OR ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO STAND UP FOR THE LOW-END USERS... READ THIS

I would have to say i'm closer to being dissapointed with CS:S. I know that everything is beautiful looking using the Havoc's source engine. But if you look more at the gameplay then you'll see that my rants are closer to true then a work of false accusations.

FIRST OFF, the game lacks the same intensity that CS 1.6 had accuired under its belt. When i say this i mean that you cant have huge firefights because its TOO realistic. During a firefight, one will find himself dead quicker than what is used to on CS 1.6. I am not soo much complaining on that but more on the fact that you cant have that same GUN-HOE feeling, being able to go on a rampage and kill 9 other people, which is sometimes needed just to keep the level of fun up.

SECOND of all, the game is something new to get used to... the aiming seems a little off for those of us who dont own a Falcon NW or an Alienware PC. So the game requires WAY too much to run DECENTLY. I know it says that u need at least a 700 Mhz Processor but if you honestly tried to play on that you wouldnt get very far and would be forced into purchasing a processor with a clock speed of AT LEAST 2.8 GHz not to mention that Source would run 10X smoother with HT technology. So where can us users, using processors like an AMD Athlon XP 2000+, get the desired performance? WELL UPGRADE. This game (along with HL2) are the games that are trying to give more sales to the computer hardware industries because people feel that they need to upgrade in order to see the true beauty of the game that the developers intended for people to see (Even if it requires a 3.2 GHz processor with HT technology, 1.5-2 GB of DDR-DDR2 Ram, an ATI Radeon X800 with 256 MB of VPU memory with a clock speed of 800 Mhz-1 Ghz?)

Overall this game isnt too bad but it still requires more to play then even HALO FOR PC and Doom 3. If they let the game run PROFICIENTLY on an AMD Athlon XP 2000+, 512 MB DDR Ram, and an ATI Radeon 9600 XT then i would be happy. Many of my friends along with myself are running with this setup and are kinda being driven away seeing as the game requires a computer that NEEDS a 600 Watt Power supply. Just make it fair across the board because theres still some players that havent upgraded because we dont have the money yet. So bear with us.

im curious if any of you have a system requirements for cs:source and also will my brand spankin new 2.8 ghz p4, 512mb ram, 128mb DDR NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card be able to hand cs:source?
Yes dude ur comp will handle Source just perfectly fine... I'm using a 1.67 GHz AMD, 512mb ram, 128 MB ATI Radeon 9600 XT, and the only problem that i have is that i cant put everything on High Quality... so your comp would definately support it.
