If this is true, which I refuse to believe, it looks like I'm out of 20 bucks. My friend and I had a bet as to which game would come out first HL2 or Halo 2, looks like the latter is going to beat the former. Bummer.

Wtf? November 23rd??? I thought it was September 30?? I just noticed that it's nearly two months. I'm tired of these delays, I'm just gonna buy doom 3.

the original Half Life is far too boring compared to the current generation of games to play all the way through.
What the fuck are you smoking? The original Half-Life is great, I suggest you stop playing CS and go beat the game.

I did a couple weeks ago. I definitely agree with him, boring compared to today's standards.

I think Valve's choice of releasing CS:S two month before Half life 2 is a stupid move. There are MANY...MANY i say...if not MOST people that buy half life 2 for CS:S and other mods, not necessarily for the singleplayer. Don't get me wrong, i believe the singleplayer experience will blow people away, but i believe for those people that will buy half life 2 for CS:S might not be as excited about buying the singleplayer HL2 b/c they have played( or seen their friends play) CS:S. The hype will die down for those people. I admit, i bought HL1 just for CS 4 years ago. WHen i opened the box, i never even player teh singleplayer, i strictly went to counter strike..... only later, when CS got kinda old did i discover the hidden gold of HL1 single player...who knows....But i'm just wishy-washy about people experience the multiplayer( HL2 multiplayer, CS, DOD, other mods) aspect( which will in the long run be the better quality to the whole HL2 experience) before the ACTUAL game itself.

I could force myself to beat it, but I'm having fun beating Burnout 3 and Pikmin 2 right now.

Maybe just porting the high poly models and the rag doll physics will make it more enjoyable so I can at least beat HL:S. It's just too hard to be immersed in the Half-Life engine currently. Plus, recent games have set a much higher bar for immersion. They copied alot off of Half-Life, but they made it better in the process.

I remember this day a year ago feeling like crap because I built this PC for HL2 and it was delayed.

Outdated sadly . Get into the PCIe mode man. HAHA OWNED! Nah, kidding. But yeah. I been waiting around for HL2... Since that time I have upgraded my computer + 3 of my other lan machines and computers about 15 times durning that time. So yeah, thanks to valve for making me waste more money and waiting. But yeah, for Hl2 coming soon. I hope to see it in my hand and playing awsomeness on my computer!

Retailers giving release date = I don't care. Not till I hear from Valve/VU will I start to get excited. To many times of dissapointment now. It's gotta be gold.

                            From a logical standpoint

                            1) Valve has VU under their control, with the imminent release of CS:S by preordering HL2.

                            2) Screwing over retail packages with outstanding offers ( Depending on the pricing though)

3)What are the chances that a bronze package will be 10-20$ cheaper as a special introductory discount like CS:CZ?

Why else did you think they had that "Special offer", to lure the initial buyers from retail

4)VU can hold the game for 6 months. Too bad everyone playing CS:S will just tempt everyone to sell out to Steam

                            5) VU is a troubled company, shareholders will not like the execs holding back the most anticipated game for 6 months. While Gabe Newell reaps ALL the marketshare/profits.

GG VU, nice try on trying to steal the HL titleship. ( Wtf were they thinking, trying to legally steal the HL franchise ) I really don't think VU has anything to hold up against VALVE if all their statements are true.

ROFL. Good point. I forgot that, But I think somewhere said 2004 or something, I could be wrong.

Someone make a owned image, with VU people in it, and be like Gabe in it point and laughing at them, and be like "OWNED!!!!!!!"
