CS:S will be free with HL2, not a separate retail game. If you think HL2 will do as badly as Halo for PC then you are sadly mistaken.

Personally I like the aiming in CS-S, it takes a lot more skill. The more I play it the more I like it. Going back to 1.6 for a change I found myself getting a ridiculous number of head-shots from just spraying.
Regarding the whole different map issues. I agree that they should have only released one map, however that map should have been d2 or aztec, just because they both offer far replayability, something u need when you're playing a map 200 times in a row. Not that it really bugs me, or stops me playing it 400 times in a row =)Comment

well for me that doesnt exist, another eg is "+15% free", since i never see that where i live, sweden. Its actually against the law to have that stated on any product, whether its Coca-cola or grandmas cakes in the local store. I guess for pple living in other countries (i began writing counter-strike instead of countries *sigh*) where its not against the law u will call it free. And u know its wrong (it is logically - recheck the meaning of the word free) but u dont want to admit it since u want to give credit to valve for doing this. Why im pushing this "free" thing so far is coz i dont like giving free credits to som1, and also not giving enough.
The CS beta was a different animal altogether, in that it was the full game for something like 2 or 3 years, before it came under the control of Valve. This isn't really the same kind of beta test...whereas the CS beta was a constantly evolving mod, the CS Source beta exists to test the game engine more than the game itself.
And yes, it is free. True, all of the people who are in the Beta paid for something, but they did not pay for the beta. Cybercafé owners paid for their license. ATI voucher owners paid for their video card. Condition Zero owners paid for Condition Zero. All of the above received the CS: S beta for free, on top of what they paid for. To say that the beta isn't free is like saying that a store's "buy one, get one free" sale doesn't have anything free in it.HankPym wrote..
Im not sure if the last part was against me. If yes: I never criticized or even said that Valves owes us another map (i agree they dont). Im not a "valve-hater" nor a "valve-lover", Im just sick and tired of the wars in between those 2: One valve-hater is stupid and criticizes Valve FOR NOTHING, and then the valve-lover comes along and bitches at everyone, by starting with "all you people", as if he was the only guy who knew anything and EVERYONE else is just stupid , no i mean "a 12 year old boy" (<--- thats annoying aswell as immature, i hate that too), and vice versa.
And just to clarify my comment from earlier, yes Valve could probably benefit a little bit if they released another map to the beta. However, they would also be faced with a lot more problems, such as a much larger number of bugs being reported. It's probably too much for them to deal with, so they decided not to do it. That's fine, they owe us nothing.
Pple can flame me now if they want even though i wouldnt know why (pple tend to flame at anything...), but i wouldnt care, im swedish (in other words neutral?)Comment

lies, you'll have to pay an aditional 30 dollars(aside form the regular $50 which will be the price ONLY for HL2) to buy the collectors edition which will include all the source ports.

All versions except the single player only version (read: ati vouchers, the sp only version at retail idea was scrapped) come with CS:S.
You don't have to buy the collectors edition, that's for the other valve ports like Half Life 1 on source.
I am not sure about other mods on source, such as DoD.Comment

Sure are a lot of other people in Source who have figured out hit detection pretty well.
Well not necessarily in the same situation as HALO pc, but it wont have the same following as HL1 engine. Not by a longshot. I play CSS for about 10 min after each update, then fire 1.6 back up and play for real. I dont think I am alone on this...btw I AM LEET.
1.6 isn't even as good as CZ, btw.Comment
