Shielding CS:S

THe shield represents a "real world" use by CTs. Terrorists don't usually use them in real world situations because they would be to hard to hide during their attempts to disguise their entry. I think it should be kept in the game, even though I never use it...It is kind of like the pump shotty to me..It is there and can be used but really...no one ever uses it.

I think we should keep it. First, with CS:Source maybe you'll be able to hit the person behind the sheild. (Y'know what I'm talking about, when you see the person's flesh in your crosshair, shoot, and have it spark like it hit the sheild?)



Next, I think with the sheild on it adds something. I enjoy having the sheild enabled, regardless of if I'm CT or T. Sure, it can be annoying at times, but it makes the game more of a challange. People actually have to think about how they're going to counter an attack with a sheild.



And last, even if there are still people who don't like it (And there will be) it can easily be disabled off of some servers, right? At least then those of us who enjoy it can still play with it, and those of you who don't like it don't have to.

It will add realism to the game, shield is just for invasion (assault) while the "DE" missions the CT team got to stop terrorists so they can't use the shields and yes, the stronger guns. KEEP IT on some maps its your only option to use it cuz all the p(_)ssy a$$ campers just buy awps and take you down one by one by one.

Um... you guys are acting like this post is for taking the shield out for condition zero and counter strike... however, we are talking about cs SOURCE for the hl2 engine, valve is not going to take the shield out for cs or cz. Also, this site is not valve its just a place to speak out your mind; so stop geting so emotional over the shield and acting like valve is gonna see this n care.



on another note, they said a long time ago that we were gonna get rocket launchers and gas grenades and gas mask, but they never gave them to us, perhaps those could be implimented into cs source. false advertisement for condition zero and crap is just sad, same with ati radeons. *sigh*

Like efficient said. It can always be turned off. It would be cool to see what the half life 2 engine does to the shield, when we're all blasting that one guy who has it. :) Maybe the shield could eventually break over time, after taking too much damage.

They should keep the shield in CS Source but make it more vulnerable like other people said by slowing speed upping costs etc., also certain high caliber weapons should be able to shoot through the shield doing reduced damage like the awp ak47 and others, if they make it balanced i say keep it
