I don't know, I think making the shield breakable defeats its purpose in the first place.

1. you couldn't stop the awp shots that the shield was supposedly designed to counter

2. if it's breakable that means that you're basically a sitting duck no matter what. If someone sees you with a shield, they just start emptying a clip at you to try and break it, what do you do, you can't sit there and take it cause you lose your shield and are stuck with a pistol. On the other hand you can't move it aside to try and take shots at them because then you get a face full of bullet. So what's the point of buying it, you're doomed one way or the other.

or at least make it so that a powerfull enough gun can shoot through it, that way it would be a lot more fair of a weapon

Ban the **** out of the thing please and if you don't bann the **** out of it. PLEASE fix the glitches, but lets say you fix them and it isn't as good as it is now. DONT LOWER THE PRICE OF THE DUMB THING. I dont feel like battling for my life in the first round of a match on t side. Yes, the vavle team could get the shield town to 800 or below, they are that wack. With some of the updates that have happened, I dont see why I play anymore. ALSO: THE M4 HAS GOTTEN WORSE EVERY POINT RELEASE. MAKE THE DAMAGE AS GOOD AS IT USE TO BE! --things aren't what they use to be and never will be again.. cs might die soon

Please remove the shield from the game.



- Like stated before, it was poorly executed, and even if it is fixed another bug is always found in it.



- Even if the shield is made "bug-free" people will still be prejudice and assume something is wrong with it, thus making it a problem.



In conclusion, the game was a lot of fun before the shield, and the game continues to be fun, it doesn't seem like the shield has changed history too much. In most leagues and pubs (from my experiences) it is just an understood rule to not use the shield, whether or not the server has it enabled.



Just my two cents :)



*Edit: I believe the shield should have its on SVAR to enable or disable it, so a server operator doesn't need to install a mod to disable the weapon.

When i first saw shield i said oh great now hackers get god mode...heh but anyways, i think if its gonna be in the game they should at least make grenade damage doubled for shield users. The % of damage should take them out in like 1 nade or so. This way we wont have to worry about them cheesing around to much. I remember when i was in a pub and some punks had friendly fire on but no tk punishment... they would all buy shields and tk then kill terrorist, or camp... it was just lame as crap and boring.



They could remodel the shield like they did for condition zero where ya see the legs, however cz didnt allow us to shoot the legs for the damage? um ya defeats the purpose guys



If they would allow leg damage then that would force the shielders to crouch when engaging in a firefight which could cut back on the bsing and create a more realistic game environment.

Not true that veterans hate it because they are used to one strategy, ive been playing for many years and i love the shield, it was a fresh change even though a bit buggy. DO NOT REMOVE THE SHIELD, FIX IT!!!!! CS badly needed the the new guns and the shield, it dosent need a bunch of people to bitch and whine over it. If you dont like it dont use it, get better and shutup.
