i actually kinda want this to be delayed, my comp is average, or a tad below average maybe, considering theres lots of uber geeks, so i could wait till x-mas, that would make me happy, extra coverage, extra tweeks, and i get to play with everyone else

        Just. Fucking. Beautiful.

valve has came a long way. congrats.

but their release issues are something they

need to work on, but i guess they are making

it better so ppl will enjoy it more

        so cant blame them.

I cant wait to see the comments when they release a high quality video of CSS. I for one, think that CSS is going to be a great online game, but I have no substantial evidence of this, just a hope. For now I will block out all comments related to how crappy the game is, since there isn't enough criteria for this game that I know of.

I guess we're going to have to rely on a 3rd pary modeller to make the game look realistic :-/. This is starting to REALLY annoy me. Also I think the CZ arm models look better than those arms aswell. And that is VERY sad.

It's certainly looking mighty damn impressive. If they can keep the same gameplay I'll never stop playing, just as I play CS on a daily basis already.

Ugh, somebody needs to stab some sense into Doug Lombardi (in a friendly way, of course). While these screens are interesting, for a new product you're trying to promote they're far from impressive. They don't even have anti-aliasing turned on! This is more what I'd expect from a 'Look how far the graphics have come since our early releases' informational thingy. I thought he'd have learned from HL2 that giving out too much info too early can cause a backlash, especially if what you're promising isn't ready or isn't up to modern standards. Nobody's impressed by screenshots showing that your four-year-old machine that's filled with dust can still play it, they're impressed by shots that show new and interesting aspects of the visual experience.

And the comments about the muzzle flash were dead on...the global light shadow should fade, and a shadow should be cast backwards from the player, because there's a dynamic light source in front of them.

Too bad there isn't a modeling community or anything because if there was, then this wouldn't be a problem!

Oh and am I the only one who wants to see a high quality version of the E3 video if only so I can see that one guy get deagled and fall over the railing.

I understand ur very good point bullethead. What i ddont understand tho is why 3rd party modders dont use lower poly peewees. It may make the framerate faster.

Also, i like the skin on that deagle model...shiny!

It's not the arms. It's the head.

no one gets what i mean? when hes shootin the gun, the light of the muzzle flash should at least tone down the shadow if not remove it completely
                              you are exactly right

and everyone is all complaing about how big a muzzle flashes , i always thought they wern't big enough

Rofl I do agree that the head looks a little awkward.
