interview: cz 1.2

As far as I'm concerned, CZ can get an asston of new updates, because as of right now, CZ users payed $30 for bots (which come free with virtually any game nowadays) and some graphic enhancements for an engine that wasn't state of the art when it came out 6 years ago.



So yes, CZ needs a lot of attention, to make it at least seem as if it was worth paying money for.

I still think All of Gearbox's stuff should be added to CZ, those maps on Poke's website should of been in the final game, they look really nice. Perhaps you can answer a little question Poke. Was there ever a fully working compiled version of Gearbox's CZ?

I WANT NEW WEAPONS!....omg that would be nice :-).... like a diffrent kind of machine gun...or some new SMGs....and there are plentiful choices of rifles that they can add as new weapons

What's the point of adding new weapons when they haven't balanced the ones they've already got?



When you start seeing guns like p90, tmp, mac10, and the autoshotty, scout, actually used and useful instead of 'niche' guns, then they can worry about adding more in.

True...But listen...the point of Condition Zero was to be a sort of new thing..a little diffrent from counter strike and i think one new weapon for the t and cts would be nice and i use the scout tmp and mac ten regulary...so it would just be something new not just counter strike with a few new maps and models...and you cant tell me you wouldnt be somewhat happy to see at least one new gun?

i own a computer that far surpasses the recommendations for CZ in the places that count

i play BF: Vietnam, Halo, DF: BHD (soon Joint Operations too), and Raven Shield, each one running smooth as silk. and yet, i still play CZ more then any of those games which some of you may call superior; but i always keep coming back to CZ. its just that good. of course, a large amount of you will disagree with me.



stop bitching, if you dont like the game, dont play it and dont waste our time with your ramblings.

Galil. Famas. 1.6 got new guns already and they aren't terribly used much. Galil is passable, some people are as good with it as with an AK, but famas is definitely a niche gun.

i dont see how CZ is supposed to have a better engine than CS...i actually have more issues playing on CZ servers than CS servers, and i have an awesome system. *shrug* and the fact that my CS community is STILL a CS community makes it pointless to host a CZ server. we have maybe 5-10% of our community upgrading to CZ...



i'm really looking forward to testing the new hostage AI, but i'm with all the CS1.6 fans in that i wish the CZ updates would actually be given to CS1.6 users as well. updated AI, updated hostages, updated maps, etc. -- CZ, even with all the updates, is really not worth the money since the gameplay is EXACTLY the same as CS1.6 with no new weapons/nades/features to make it any better. bots = pointless and only necessary for single-player mode, however the improved hostages will hopefully be a good improvement. i'm looking forward to being able to rescue the hosties thru the sewer on militia finally!! -- but definately not something that constitutes trying to get all my friends to spend $40 to buy the same game that they already own.



there are 1000's of custom maps out there, a handful of which are better than any of the new CZ maps, which means there's no real reason to upgrade just to get new hosties and new (custom) CZ maps...



i just pray that HL2 / CS-Source / etc has less lag/loss/choke issues than the current set-up...with maybe some auto-adjustments to variables that are done automatically to optimize the connection, without the need for the user to fumble around themselves trying to fix everything that should 'just work'.

I think it's funny, Achenar, how you don't want to pay for a game that's the 'same' but when it starts to become different (by getting new features) you want it to be the same again by giving those features to CS 1.6. Quite hypocritical.



Don't give the features to 1.6, and keep adding good stuff to CZ, and maybe I'll buy it when the price goes down to 10 bucks.

I use the GALIL AND THE FAMAS...i love the famas for some reason.. and i think cz should get some more weapons FOR CZ ONLY... just to differ things from cs 1.6 and i remember them promising new eapon..all there was is the LAW rocket launcher.. THAT WE CAN ONLY PLAY WITH ON CONDITION ZERO DELETED SCENES!!
