but i still think the price change is ridiculous with the mp5 and ak!! in real life first of all, ak's are so easy to come by and so friggen cheap. 2500 is already high for an ak. deal with it folks, terrorists are supposed to be able to get their hands on weapons easily. and the mp5 being 1700 is just wrong. in no way whatsoevers should a fucking (sorry i couldnt help myself) UMP be CHEAPER THAN THE mp5! no. just wrong.

Guys, haven't you learned that Valve and everyone doesn't give a flying fuck about what the CS Community thinks. Think about Steam, and Condition Zero. They don't give a shit, we all hate the shield, but they won't change.

i can definitely see the points behind instituting a pro-mode at this point, although i imagine that would be a pain, but i say let the pro leagues and pro players worry about. i don't think the majority of players would be absolutely devestated by price changes, and whats wrong with adding some more randomness and spice to the game? things have remained the same for far too long and i'm glad to see that some changes are actually being made.



i say polish up what you want to change and do it. if it backfires, and nobody likes it, it doesn't seem like it should be an enormous hassle to a make an update rolling it back.

Leave the prices alone, spend your time working on other things that would improve the game, such as: Down the barrel sight (like in Battlefield: Vietnam) 'cause thats wicked

Also, Ernie is right. Don't waste your time figureing out the perfect price for all these lame guns, instead replace the lame guns with new guns that would make the game better. Try sticking in a flame thrower or throwing knives, or whatever. But what CS really needs are different guns. And new situations/maps, because this shit is getting old.

You know what's funny about CS? You guys want bunny hopping, totally unrealistic, and then you talk about how AK's are cheap in real life. Ever notice CS is just a game? And that it's not supposed to be a simulation. It's an arcade shooter. And I don't care if AK's are cheap in RL, it makes unfair to the CT's who have to pay so much for M4's when the AK is basically the same thing. A game may be realistic in some ways, but it is still JUST A GAME, meaning that if it's unfair to one side, then no one will ever want to be that side.

As for League play shit..... The only reason those people complaint is because they're scared of changes, scared of having to learn new tactics and strategy due to the money change. Scared of losing.

Personally I think any attempt to bring the other guns back into the game is at least worth a shot. Whether it's changing how good the guns are or their prices it's at least worth considering and maybe even implementing for a trial period. It's just stupid to have 3/4 of the guns in the game sit around completely unused. From what I see the proposed changes are at least a good start. It'd be nice to see some variety instead of a team of all mp5s, all m4s, or all aks.
