I'd definitely go with option A. Placing the bomb timer in the HUD would be a bad choice, because the tension created by the bomb as it bleeps faster and faster is one of the best parts of the game. At least it is in matches, that is, I never play on pubs. It doesn't take very long for a new player to get the hang of the bomb/beeps, so I don't think it is necessary to have a visible timer.
Oh yeah, you people blaming CS for randomness... yeah, it is more random than it used to be, sure, but if you complain how you can't hit anyone in the head, you are most likely a) playing on a god-awful server with 100 ping and 50 choke&loss, b) playing on a god-awful server with bad server settings, c) only mediocre skilled.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to say this. There are still some hitbox problems. Try shooting someone when he's defusing or just crouching with their back towards you. At least in those situations the _head_ hitboxes aren't where they are supposed to be.Comment

^^ A better use of resources.
i'd prefer if they actually did somthing a little more constructive, such as the ct holstering his weapon while he defuses the bomb, come on , you can't shoot two handed and defuse the bomb at the same time. maybe if a first person model of a pair of defusion clippers were introduced, that may be an improvement.Comment

Good, bad. Either way ,most n00bs dont even pay attention to the HUD. At least the ones that come to my server. I have had to teach various ones about how to watch their money, and even the whole beep thing. Putting the countdown on the bomb itself is silly, that wouldnt make any sense what so ever. Like tribal said, they already coded it to stop the time, so likely they will enable it to do the C4 countdown. Even with the countdown theres still the tension of getting there, except when theres no T's left to guard the bombsite. So whatever, but fix the aim/hitbox issues.Comment

Yes you can, and that is why I dont believe the next guy plays many matches...
Bad idea!
Sn00py, you cannot tell the exact time left before the C4 explodes by listening to the beeps alone!perrkele wrote..
You obviously are not a very good reader because it doesn't say anything about adding it to the hud, only the bomb. There is still going to be the tension because there is no real counter saying how long until the defuse is done, but if you know so much why would there be tension in the first place?

this will take them ages to impliment, by the time they get round to it, we will have forgotten this discussion and go ooo thats a new feature why didnt they tell us about it, lolComment
