perrkele wrote..your edit basically adds a d) to your list. even on clean servers (no mods and no loss or choke) it happens anyway. LAN for example. believe it how you want to, but im am pretty damn sure that there is still a lot of issues since 1.0 concerning what is a hit and isnt.
I'd definitely go with option A. Placing the bomb timer in the HUD would be a bad choice, because the tension created by the bomb as it bleeps faster and faster is one of the best parts of the game. At least it is in matches, that is, I never play on pubs. It doesn't take very long for a new player to get the hang of the bomb/beeps, so I don't think it is necessary to have a visible timer.
Oh yeah, you people blaming CS for randomness... yeah, it is more random than it used to be, sure, but if you complain how you can't hit anyone in the head, you are most likely a) playing on a god-awful server with 100 ping and 50 choke&loss, b) playing on a god-awful server with bad server settings, c) only mediocre skilled.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to say this. There are still some hitbox problems. Try shooting someone when he's defusing or just crouching with their back towards you. At least in those situations the _head_ hitboxes aren't where they are supposed to be.
EdisLeado wrote..never again. simple as that. ppl who have ati radeons 9800 XTs are still getting unstable fps at times.
ok not really a bad idea -- i wouldn't mind having it
but when is valve going to optimize the counter-strike/half-life engine for newer video cards so we can ALL play with 99fps?
||GLR||Chops wrote..the HE through the wall is something i forgot to mention as well. that is definite must. and bullets through steel and rock so thick has to get dropped too.
1. Stop HE damage going though walls.
2. Let T's choose how long till explosion when they plant bomb?.... nah that might not work actually.... leave it how it is... dont ruin CS anymore *thinks back to 1.0 to 1.3 days*
