Well I applaud this group for having a high-standard for gaming. I can definitely appreciate a pub with high standards myself. The Christian part I can do without, but of course, that's their prerogative. And like they said, it's not like they're preaching to everyone in the league.
But I have to admit, I find the fact that you would even mention Christianity and Jesus Christ to begin with strange and out of place. To me it actually seems a little bit preachy.... But I'm not judging, just observing.[cTs] Arkaon wrote..

I'm not sure what you're beliefs are but by what you just said, if you ever mention your beliefs to anyone for any reason, you were just preachy to them. Even if you don't believe in God, if, by your standard, if you mention it, then you were preachy to them of your beliefs. Just because someone tells you something, you have free choice to believe or not believe. That's the way it is on our servers, you are free to believe what you want, all we ask is that all players respect the rules. Instead of everyone being negative, have the same open mind that you supposedly want us to have and come see for yourself.

christianity is flawed from the start. how can u christians follow a book such as the bible when it is riddled with so many contradictions. now im no muslim, but if you know anything about the koran, you will know how well and you could almost say "perfectly" written it is. at least you christians could start off with a proper religious text, rather than the current joke of a book.Comment

A lot of the stuff in the Koran have the same books as the Bible.
The Pentateuch, Psalms, even the Gospels of Jesus!!!

While I'm not particularly religious, I think this is a pretty good idea, I've been getting rather sick of the racist remarks flying around pubs (swearing doesn't bother me, but still). I'll have to give one your servers a shot, and have some fun :)Comment

Now seeing as how i strictly play DoD now i mihgt not know much about CS anymore. But I do know that we are supposed to be a light unto the world, and that yes some people will persecute us for our beliefs. We will continue to provide a clean safe atmosphere for those that want it. Those that dont, dont have to join us.
For those that like the blood and gore and swearing. I hear the Army would love some new recruit's to send over to iraq. I have Christian friends over there now, who say it is the hardest trial they have been through. They have seen the worst of the worst and they know that Gods love is needed everywhere from iraq to the CS community.Comment

im not a christian basher but what good christian would let thier child play this ADULT game. cs is over run with little kids who shouldnt even be on computer woithout a parent in the room let alone play an extremely violent game which i lov so much so be good cristians and dont let ppl <18 play then it dowsnt matter about nudity and swearingComment

I think it's a pretty good idea - we allow some profanity on our server, but we do have a couple of rather young regulars, and our tolerance level drops accordingly when they are present.
I believe the Christian thing is used as a trademark for good ethics, so I guess they could have called it Muslem as well: basically the same set of ethics when reading/interpreting the Quran in a non-fanatic way.
and FYI: I don't even believe in Atheism, but I do believe in good ethics :)Comment

Frankly, thats not a god thing, thats a human thing. There are many communities working hard who would find that offensive. Everyone does not put everything down to god.
