#47, Damn, my job of gaming which is equal to $10/hr, $300 take home a week. I'm uber nerd!

Anyway, Sorry to overly bash your league there Steve.. I just think you should have taken more time in preparation before putting up a temp site and having news about the league posted on gaming sites. I'm assuming your trying to compete with leagues such as CAL and UGS seeming you talk about them going bad and such.

just a few tips that would help build popularity,

              1. Max rounds 15

              2. Loose the option for leaders to choose between maps

              3. Make it no shield.

              4. Work with well known players/leaders/admins to come up with ideas for the league.

              5. Rest is up to you, only other thing I can recommend is building really well laid out website. A good backend to run the league on makes a huge difference.

WOW... This topic is lame... Forget it... I got other things to do... than waste my time posting here... You people go bash CAL or something... Or just stop being dumb...

The post above this 300 a week, haha, that suckz, you need to get out and something... I enjoy my job just as much, so Steve screw this, I don't want to be an admin you lieing sack of */*/*/*

O yeah one last thing, Steve as a Web-Site Designer, Hoster, and Maker, and etc... which is my job... I would have just left the damn footer page on there, until the damn PHP is done... Come on you need have it better than it is currently...... Ok, yeah maybe I over did it a little there, but how knows, I am kida drunk off of playing computer for like 3+ days 24hours each day... So like my comments, have probably been kida stupid and lamish as people have said... But if you don't want me comments, then don't listen to them... On the web-site, I would like to know what is going to make it different than CAL... Are you going to use the same Configs, Anti-Cheat, VAC, CD, HLGuard, huh????? Well what ever I am out, and I am done with OCGL... I will not want to be an admin of OCGL, so bye bye Steve, nice knowning you and good luck with OCGL... I think I will retire from the gaming of CS and DOD, for a year or so...

Remember this, there will be a day. A day will come...

I really wish you would really consider your statements.

You complain about kids cutting down your league, but you are cutting down another league (CAL) which is the leader of the North American CS league scene, followed closely by UGS.

Like stated above, CAL is backed by the CPL which is a very huge international event. I'll be honest, I didn't read much into your league, nor do I care too for a few reasons.

Creating a new league isn't original anymore. There are too many leagues to choose from now, and so many have failed. People will only play in UGS\CAL. Honestly, they will take your league as a joke. I am not saying this to scrutinize you, but just giving you a taste of reality. As for CAL starting somewhere, CAL started when there was a big whomping choice of 3 leagues.

Any real quality team will play in CAL\UGS and advance to the Main\Advanced\Premier\Sisterswithguns\Invite division. They aren't going to try and start a new league that won't really accomplish nothing.

As for the pub clans, and new clans that want a taste of something else, sure, they will come to your league. However, those clans usually die within a month and leaving a dead team on your list. I am not saying this doesn't happen in CAL, but its just too hard to start a successful league right now. Unless you are pulling some real big sponsors to give people initiative to play for you, you will probably fail.

I do admire your valiant effort, good luck!

OMFG. KGarcia, I would most likely keep a $300/week fluctuating income from playing video games to my damn self for fear of further societal rejection. How old are you? I'm not trying to be an asswipe, but after making 6-figures, $300/week sounds awfully kiddie. I'm happy that it sounds like alot to you, but I make that much in three hours.

Guys, get off your pasty, mushy, nerdy asses, get a real job and realize that 'pro gamer' is NOT a career.

Start a hosting provider. Hell, even with 10,000 choices out there, I guess the market could handle 10,001. But good luck on starting it with 300 bucks.

Do you realize how many people out there don't evne make $10 an hour? Do you realize how many people work at EB on submarines just like I used to making the same amount of money I am doing something I find to be fun? Not to mention all the people that work at the casino's here and make less then I do.

I'm glad $300 take home a week sounds kidde to you. Go buy a SL500 and stop posting on csnation thx.

oh btw, "for fear of further societal rejection".

I was all state pitcher in high school going 10-0 to set the school record for wins in a season. I'm left handed and throw 86mph avg. I have played with many teams and was known around the state. I still play in a summer league as well. Sounds like I'm socially rejected~ I better fear for myself because I might be prone to more societal rejection!(just using baseball as an example that no, all gamers aren't nerds sorry)

You can turn off your e-thug forum flame mode now. I'm sure if you acted towards people in real life as you do here on these messages you would be the one suffering from societal rejection. Enough talk thx.
