I should have mentioned the part where people claim they won't be getting HL2 because of the delay, then are the first ones in the stores as soon as it is available. People have said the same thing of CZ and TF2 but will likely still get those as well anyway.

Everyone is CS2 this CS2 that....I sure haven't heard anything about valve working on CS2 for the new HL2 engine or anything along those lines yet.... VALVe make a release date? HAH. I am bummed it is pushed back but with so many good games coming out soon:

and so many other great games...this is a god send for my pocket book. Any way you look at it though...telling the fans that their assumption 2 weeks ago about it being delayed until November were wrong...than turning around and actually pushing the release date back to November...well that just burns my biscuits.

TF2 = never coming out...it's been what 3 years and a few engine changes...maybe they should just jump to the Doom 3 engine and start all over...or better yet, why didn't they just start coding their own engine 2 years ago...and we would all be playing TF2 now instead of fiddling with Steam and worrying about a HL2 release date...

there is no surprise for me because all the games by valve have been delayed constantly... thats the design (the beauty if you will) about it...

It'll be good don't worry about that! The vids and screen shots have all looked gorgeous so far, it'll be worth the wait. Shit, we waited god knows how long for 1.6 so this will be no different, it will come out we will bitch about it some, then we will fall in love with it, just like we did with first one.

The game is FINISHED. They won't polish things up. It's the same story as CSCZ.

In all truth, we all expected this, but hey! I won't be the least surprised if they delay it to 2005 or 2006.



And Doom 3 owns HL2, and March is a better release date (for D3) than a MAYBE holiday release date (for HL2). You people are way too optimistic to think it will come out by the holidays.
