From the earliest betas to version 1.5, CS only got better with every update. If it always got better that way, why did Valve change it? It certainly didn't turn out for the better. Sure, the bugs will be fixed, Steam will eventually work fine, but by that time most people will be playing HL2. There was no reason to have to endure all the sh*t were getting for Steam.

I have a fix for all Steam errors: delete it and play 1.5.

my cs runs just fine...and to think of it 1.6 is faster than 1.5 when it come to loading up and exiting...



Starting CS1.5:

Start CS>Play CS>Play Online>Refresh servers>double-click server

Starting CS1.6:

Start Steam>Refresh servers>Double-click server.



Exiting CS1.5:

press ESC(wait till server screen comes up)>Exit online games(wait till it disconnects)>exit Play CS>exit game.

Exiting CS1.6:

press ESC>click Exit then confirm.

you put up with all the crap that comes with steam to save TWO CLICKS?
