when I go out and spend bout $80 on HL2 or even more inportantly CS2 and TF2 I dont want to hear some S**T about how the only network I can play online with is "down" Valve really needs to sort their s**t out before HL2/CS2/TF2 cuz if the s**t hits the fan after that there will be he|| to pay.

well steam is all great, and since my video card isn't that great, i can't have skins. I'm going to upgrade it to a GeForce 5200 soon, or maybe a ATI Radeon. So all I am doing now is using custom sounds, from Fusion pack...iono if its in cs nation, but it sure s greatComment

here is a link to downloading steaminstall_full (dod tfc dedicated server cs hl, etc.) when u get there click on steaminstall_full.exe. it takes about 35-40 min to dl on cable, but it still faster then fileplanet and filefront and fileshack.

Nothing like waiting for an interminably long initial download, not being able to get Steam to work long enough to actually join a game for four frickin' days, finally playing a game or two only to be told that CS isn't installed the next time you try.
Then another 3-hour wait in line at FileF*ck and another couple hours downloading a cached install only to get a "Could not initialize installation. File size expected=397857244, size returned=362953956. The parameter is incorrect" error trying to run the f*cking thing.
Then ANOTHER hour-and-a-half wait in line at ShackPlanet and another hour-and-a-half-plus download of the full 723 MB install only to get the same "Could not initialize...parameter is incorrect" message.
Not that it even matters, of course, with Steam itself being down.
Well done, assholes. Nice rollout. Definitive example of the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" adage.Comment

Whats this talk of it being down? I've been playing all day, and practically every server on the west coast was empty \-: I just found one, in NY or something and played there, but I never got any interuption in my steam clients connection... anyone else... this is wack... BTW all if it gives you an error that doesnt have to do with your connection run the unwise installer dealy on repair, it replaces any corrupt or screwed over files, worked every time for me (twice today)Comment

I don't have a model folder for 1.6 so how I do replace a model like the SOTD says to.. I go through all the folders.. But there is every folder there but the model folder.. so what gives? Do I have to create one or something?Comment
