i like 1.6 but dont like steam plus i dont have a kick ass pc so steam sometimes wont load or it will take to long to connect to a server

they should have upgrade 1.6 without the steam system and about the shield they give the ct a very large advantage

this is pretty lame since 1.0 people complained and they kept complaining all the way until 1.5 now something else comes in the new version and here come the bitches who can't find anything better to do. So they find something wrong with the shield. Look the shield is in the game so it is there to be used so stop ure bitching. If you don't like it go play BF1942 or some other game

My only complaint is that the AWP is still the game.. but that's been my complaint since Beta 1.3 The scout needs to be reduced to it's former wimpy self, and the AWP needs to be reduced to the scout's current power. Also, there's not enough aim penalty for sniper rifles when the shooter is moving.. same old story though. 2 grenades would be nice as well.. either that or make them as deadly as they should be.. and what about going back to making the FBs cause damage.. ahhh those were the days

...!!! CS 1.6 SUX!!! Why did those money-hungry freaks at VALVe (no offense...) want to make a new CS?! 1.5 WAS GREAT!!! I don't even have it, I just played it at cyber cafe for like 3 minutes, and I liked the new guns, the new menu system, but I hated the shield...Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but, isn't a RIOT shield one of those slightly thick, about 4 feet tall, all-plexi-glass (plastic glass), shields that cops use when there's a RIOT, like a ton of people protesting or something???!!! Well, if they want to update anything on 1.6, they should have a Terrorist shield, too, and even higher poly models, they still suck!



I'm waiting for CS:CZ to come out cuz 1.6 is gay, I know that's what everyone else says but IT IS!!!

Honeslty, please STOP bitching about the shield. The shield is a logical aspect of the game. Your going to have to learn how to use it or fall behind and quit i guess.. its a great new feature...



note: I hate 1.6 because of the hs box(all that really matters in the actual game)... the rest is fine..

Oh and for all you people talking about the shield as a awp counter.. It doesnt counter it as effectivly as the speed in which you now die at .. you die way faster now so if u miss, or react slower then ur done..

Heero77, you are the only one who i have heard say that the awp doesnt counter the shield...cuz you die so fast, b/c the bullets actually register. Now all these awp whores who arent good with it, stop using it, and that makes me happy :)

O.K sweet, now tell me when i said it doesnt counter the AWP. It does just not as much. Now that you die faster automatic weps are even better, the ability to kill in one shot isnt as effective..



Note: The shield makes litte effect in competitive play.

Is it just me or does the game look uglier now? The text and stuff is so ugly.. Im not sure exactly but overall its got a messy look.. tryed to make it user friendly.. but its just user friendly for the n00bs, then its just inefficiant

I got 4x maxtor 7200rpm HDD on raid 0 and 1GB of DDR400, i can load into window in 4seconds after bios screen. also im on T1 too. in the 'good old 1.5 days' i dont even know wot loading time means, lol, but now, i double click on the server, go for a piss, come back. thought i will b 0 kills with 7 deads(coz of afk).....oh wait.....i thought i crashed the machine....it is still loading........ mind u all value is the one made cs 1.6 (im happy with 1.6 but not steam tho) , steam is the one lagging us, bcoz of their crappy server CONNECTION. (not their server) i love the in game graphics, specailly aztec. now tell me, is it my machine's fault for being not able to 'handle' the game. (im bitching snaping it)

Ive not had any really major probs with steam, it seems to work when i expect it to. Ive got a cable connection that helps. I like Steam and 1.6 but people are obviously having trouble with it and they need to get it sorted.

i tryed the new steam and i dont like it having to be connected to the internet to play cs all the time even at a lan party just kind seems dumb i think steam is a good additions but still needs some work. I also think they should leave 1.5 servers up for people who dont wanna switch.

i think the shield is a good thing, it will give newbs a chance to stay alive for more than 1 minute!
