you guys need strategies, just because you and your team are idiots, doesn't mean everyone is, you just don't start shooting at a shield when the guy is blocking, but i do agree that the shield is unbalanced, the Terrorist Force only gets 1 new gun, the galil, which is very unaccurate, only for megium range.

while the ct's get a very accurate gun, the famas, and a shield

so the terrorists should have the molotov cocktails (flaming bottles) to block the paths of shielders

read:

1.galil is more accurate than the famas

2.the famas is weaker than the ak and the galil and come cheaper than the famas.

3.shield was unblanced, they raised the price and is much better,

4. molotov cocktails?well shouldnt they add rocket launchers and ICBMs, tht will sooooo balance out the shield. how da hell do u expect a molotov coktail to stop a shielder...u could just use a grenadae u idiot...and besides the molotov coktail will only affect the sheilder if he goes over the fire or if the bottle explodes on his face...if the shield can block an awp then it can surely block a bottle of wine on fire.

This is to all you people who don't know how to start up a LAN server. MORONS. RTFS. I have started up my own LAN server on 1.6 before it even officially came out. There is no LAN tab to click on. Just play around with it, you'll figure it out. It's different and awkward BUT THERE IS STILL LAN.

I know there is still LAN, but if your policy at work doesn't have those ports open, there is no way to authenticate, therefore no LAN.

Wish all the moaners about the riot shield would stfu. It adds something to CS no matter what you may think about it. I don't seem to have a problem being killed when having a shield and don't have a problem killing ct's with the shield. Anyone who cannot kill Shield CT's should pack up and play Unreal Tournament or Quake.

Steam kicks arse, updates all files and when you need them and runs fine on my pc. Obviously it is always a good idea to judge an online game on the first few days of the release. Sheesh I think CS should have an award for having the biggest base of whingers.



Get broadband, buy a decent pc, get some skills for the game and STFU!

And the bb usnt necessary as NIghthawk has played on 56k sucessfully. In someways steam has levelled the plaing field as soemtimes, were all lagging!!!

Wow you know what, when 1.5 came out, EVERYONE was bitching about it too. Get over it. About the shield, any GOOD T with an AK or whatever can take out a shield weilding CT, no big deal. About the new guns, they are like heavy MP5s, no big deal. Just remember that nobody liked 1.5 when it came out, and now everyone likes it.

Besides, hopefully HL2 will be released on time and then nobody will play CS anymore anyway.

well... everyone didnt like 1.5 in the beggening, and now the love it, just give 1.6 some time. And Steam is not doing its job now because there is so much downloading going on, give it some time.

retard, the jumping is fucking 1.4.....and why cant they just update as usual, cs wasnt broke why "fix" it and create more problems

i realize that the jumping was introduced 1.4, but wasn't it in 1.5, also? you realize that 1.4 and 1.5 are pretty much the same, right? my point was that people were complaining about 1.4/1.5 but they adapted and stopped complaining like a bunch of freaking morons. I had some trouble using steam, but i did not complain, i waited patiently and tried to connect once a day and after a couple days it worked. for some people, it will take longer, and in a few months the complainers will either quit cs or get used to it.

Xect, lockhart knows what he's talking about. It was his move, with the enemy king just having moved. Stalemates only occur when one player cannot move any pieces (without entering check). Since it was lockhart's turn, and lockhart could move his piece, then it shouldn't have called a stalemate.



Anyway, expect problems for the next few weeks likely with CS, and then hopefully things will clear up. Yeah, it sucks right now, but it'll get better, most likely.



And finally, I really don't remember a lot of bitching about 1.5, all things considered. More of it focused on 1.4's changes still, which 1.5 simply kept.

this steam thing totally SUCKS my darkest place on my body !! Been sitting here on various steam dl sites, waiting for my dl to start for over 3 hours, but SHYTE happens! hahhaha to hell with THIS, im not gonna bother with this until steam completely VANISHES, why the f'ck did they change it from being a NORMAL upgrade patch??!!
