Well, it says that Steam is online and running, abut when i click Steam to open it all i get is an error that says the steam network is down or my internet connection is down...n e 1 have n e advice for me?

i think steam should have done the manual install thingy from the beginning. i mean, how can they even begin to try to have enough bandwidth for EVERYONE that plays cs dod etc... steam only works for small updates like little bug fixes and stuff. i think the downloading games thing is dumb. but i LOOOVVE the friends system. i have no more need for gametiger or hlsw.

WHY??? i click on counter-strike open a window then shows the counterstrike splash screen for one second and then colse again??? what is this?? anyone had same problem?
