HOW DO YOU INSTALL CUSTOM SKINS INTO STEAM?

and the dl steam and everything was fine for me, but now for some reason when i click on the steam.exe to play it, it never runs....wtf

2 get steam working perfectly download steaminstall_CS i have had no problems with this 379M byte file the 500k file is crap.

i cant get my skins 2 work either can ne1 help?

hey i have a question,

what's the difference b/w the steam cache and the steam clien 32k?????? DO i need to dowload the cache???I"m so confused?? Also, do i have to have 1.5 installed to play 1.6???? Or can i just use the cd key from 1.5 for 1.6???? Please let me know????

For skins to work you need to close steam down once you have changed the skin. Presuming you are talking about the colour skins of steam not model skins........



My only beef about the whole friggin thing is the fact that the bots have been removed. Is that fecked up or what? There was no problem with the smart ar$ed bots in beta so why not in this release?

They're not in this release because this release has no offline play available (LAN). Why have the extra content, when that content (the bots) are not playable?

connection? i have a super crappy 1.5 mbs comcast cable connection (that's usually hella laggy coz my neighbors are dl'ing pr0n). and the server i got is from page 25 and click on the cs1.6 dl mirrors page from this one guy. there you should see some links and click on "ftp.csfi.net"

i dl'ed cs there twice. my current dl is a little slower (one hour left XD)

the problems are not realy steam i think its the network

it just cant handle the amount af cs,dod,ns,tf etc players

all these problems of freezing unable to connect etc are because

your steam has to connect first but u never see when it is or isnt connected. Unless valve like tenfolds its network capabilities these problems are only going to worsen.

2) Search for gcache.gcf

3) Open the 400+ meg file in a hex editor

4) Search for 'kazaa' and 'mp3'

Spyware in its worst form. Basically forced on us to play a game we already paid for. I wonder why they need to know my kazaa username, mp3 files, htm records etc...



Hate to find out later that someone got info from them. Wait, no it wouldnt. I could just sue Valve. \=D

sigh -____-. i got steam fully working and dl'ed and had high hopes. i had the full 812 mb cs 1.6 on my comp and now steam rashed 3 times and couldn't connect to any content server. i have to alt+ctrl+del a couple of times aswell

It's not Steam thats the problem, it's the content providers. (or network, or whatever you call it)

I tried downloading the 600 k and 400 meg files. Hours later, multiple reinstalls. Nothing. Now my 1.5 doesnt work.



He is right. Dont sign petition. Send an email to valve, maybe after 20,000 complaints and a crashed mail server they will realize they screwed up.

check out cs.central they noticed that 2 and its not spyware but mp3 and spyware are rather random occurences in the cache file u

freaking ...... why would valve care about that they just want to sell games.
