It doesn't seem that necessary, but then again most things to do with CS aren't necessary, just lil tweaks or add-ons.

If you feel like it you can run CS off the shelf complete with low poly models and the like.

I'd say that ad did a pretty good job. Whether or not you were the target audience, it clearly got through the clutter and you got the message. Advertising isn't necessarily about instant sales, it's about getting inside someones head over and over again and gently tweaking your disposition until you are just a shade more likely to do something you might have otherwise never done (see: carrot-top AT&T ads).

I've read about torture and betrayal too. doesnt mean theyre good things or that I want them. cept if there was this woman i know... :P~



It might not be about instant sales, but it still has to be about sales; otherwise theres no justification for advertising. I get your point but it still seems somewhat.. annoying. but thats because the advert is tweaking my disposition.

why would I want to stop complaining? besides, i do use mozilla. I just dont use it regularly because I find it a lot slower and I'm of the opinion that there's a time and place for that.

Regarding the ads, they have crossed the line. I keep getting this circular Flash ad nearly every time I visit CSNation and there's no way at all to close it. It just blocks the screen and I can't read/click what's underneath it, so I end up reloading the page a couple times. That's extremely poor PR for GameSpy.
