I guess I am in the minority here. I Like 1.6. I like how I don't have to fart around looking for updates. I like it how you can go use the console or server list seamlessly. I like how they can update a map or a sound or whatever and everyone gets the same version without having to download a patch. I also like how you can go do something in Windows now and not lose your sound. I am really tired of people bitching about how updates suck and how much they think CS sucks because it is old. Go play Cosmopolitan Glamor Makeover.

I know I may be wrong, but i did read here http://csnation.counter-strike.net/view...info/next.csn that CS 1.6 would be the last classic update of CS and Steam would be required only in 1.7.

But the problem is VALVe don't give a choice to play CS 1.6 to all people, We will be oblige to use steam.

I don't know if it will be required, I know he's a moderator but what I said is writen here in this website and I think its much better choose than be forced to play with Steam...

I've heard both stories that it'll be your choice of getting the "classic" update or get it via steam. Personally, I don't care. Steam's a great change, and I'm enjoying it.
