German CS:CZ "Review"

wow, whoever voted for delays in the poll is stupid as hell, the authors of these magazines do not give cz bad reviews because of delays, another thing, the half-life engine is 5 years old..it is getting boring now with all the newer games coming out with great effects, what im trying to say is, people who wanted to buy cz were looking for something new in cs but with the same HL engine, they cant expect much of a difference in the game

I just had a bad feeling from the start about CZ... I don't think it will even come close to the gaming experience regular CS has been giving us the last couple of years.

I think this site has a hell of a lot of nerve slagging off the British gaming press with sweeping generalisations. Is CSNation pissed off that us "limey dorks" got to review CS:CZ before the spams even got a sniff of it? Get over it.

I think reviewing something that isn't finished yet, is odd. Just call it a preview if you need to fill some blanc space in your game-magazine...

No, it wasn't submitted to them by Valve. The publisher of the game gave it to the magazines. The game isn't complete; if it were we'd be playing it right now since magazines take weeks to print and distribute.

Haha, with the reviews CS:CZ has gotten I think it was punishment more than anything else.



I'm just against the practice of reviewing games before they're done. The UK gaming press is basically worthless because of it, in my opinion. If a US magazine/site did the same thing, I would treat them the same.

The poll question is "What has hurt CS: Condition Zero the most?" and thats pretty vague. It could be how well it will sell, how well it will do in reviews, how much people will like it, ect.



You're a jackass for disrespecting other peoples views like that. It's not like its a totally insane point of view either, else it wouldn't be on the poll in the first place. As I explained in a previous comment, the delays have moved the game closer to HL2, and that IMO will hurt it the most.

You are my hero for disrespecting other people's views like that. It was a totally insane point of view that shouldn't have been on the poll in the first place. Some fool explained his reasoning in an earlier comment which was clearly the work of a raving loon.

in my own, isolated (perhaps) point of view, the developper changes didnt help it either, since:



it started out with valve, then was handed to a 'talented' team known as rogue, who started making it a hunting-suicide bomber game, then it was pulled from rogue, given to gearbox, and we kinda stopped hearing about it for awhile, then news broke that gearbox had stopped making it and that ritual was taking over and starting from scratch, now ritual is done and its in valves hads again... (for adjusting minor aspects) now, sure it dosent hurt as much as the other elements, but when one looks at the games developper history, its obvious that its been going on a bumpy road

You all think none of the reviews are trustworthy because they didn't get a score that you all expected it to be. ...although it is kinda corny to review non released games :-/

bah, i wasnt expecting much from cz... the game didnt look bad, but with hl2 around the corner ill be putting my time\money on the newer product witch has a completely new engine contrarily to a game witch is based on an older (not necessarily bad) engine, witch btw, is a single player version of a game ive been playing online for 3 years

I can't buy it. I have to save up money to upgrade my computer for Half-Life 2, I need a new motherboard a new central processor and a new graphics processor. That is gonna be pricey.
