It looks like the most recent poll wasn't too far off. But if this delay is due to the source code leak, do you really think they can still get copy out even by April 2004? I mean, losing the Christmas season just lost them a huge amount of business. So here we'll find VALVe busting their butt for several months on a project that they almost already had done, and on-top of that their reward is smaller and later.

There's only a very marginal peak in summer related sales. Holidays is really the best time to sell a game. However, a title like Half-Life 2 will be a hit no matter what so the release date is kind of unimportant.

If the game was going to be delayed anyway, they would have blamed it on the source code leak.



The reason I don't think it wil be released in April is because developers always push the deadline to the very last minute they can. The last minute is xmas for the games industry.



I really hope I'm wrong though.
