this is just amazing news. about a week ago i got banned for hl amp and now i got banned for this today. im never downloading anything cs related. i hope vac takes out the bans for this like they did for hl amp

I think yes you should be able to have programs running in background like mp3 players, ect, but at the same time a lot of these addons or plugins for CS can also be used to hook the HL.exe to run cheats so something that starts out to be use just to play mp3 if integrated into HL can be turned into a way to allow cheats to be introduced through them. I think this is why Valve is not letting these programs to be use not because they don't want you to listen to your own MP3 while playing.

VAC stops cheats. That's it's job, and just because it ruins some little 'woohoo' fun toys, doesn't mean Valve should burn. The community made these tools, and some are good...but the fact is the community made them - not Valve. You shouldn't expect something that interacts with HL's engine, but wasn't stock, to go on perfectly forever with VAC. It's not gonna happen, at least for a while. Everyone should just cool off, play the game how it was meant to be played, and thank Valve for working day after day to provide constant cheat protection for you, the end user. What other team even tries to do this?



I used HLamp every now and then, good tool. It is sad that VAC catches it, but what do you expect...?

But its pretty ridiculous that VAC is screwing up all this shit... Its the damn hackers fault Valve has to all this anyway, time that could be spent on upcoming projects but instead they have to take time working constantly on a cheating prevention program that cant stop people from cheating because the cheats get rewritten practicaly a day after the new VAC modules come out.



Maybe Valve just shouldnt announce when they come out so the cheat makers are suprised and all hackers get banned before they have the chance to update there |337 }{4x0rZ

Alright lol i'll get flamed for saying this but i'd like to explain the uselessness of VAC, i've kept a simple wallhack that i downloaded from a very known CS cheating site, i use it to watch demos etc etc, i also have an extra cd-key so whenever vac comes out with an update i log into a cs server with vac on and the new module, heh no catching, my walls are clear as day with people behind them. VAC to me is extremly useless espically if it doesn't stop a simple WH that was released MONTHS ago...hey Valve stop the old stuff before you start just killing off the actual useless stuff. Just My 2 Cents.

You can't expect Valve to test their VAC modules to work with all the plugins outthere.. All I want is a cheatfree game, and I have seen several people I already suspected being caught by a sudden VAC-update, so it does work..



And #42, I and the community could do without your post.. It's just making me and alot of other people more paranoide about cheats in CS.. I tend to believe 90% of post like yours are total bulls*t anyway.. Not saying your lying, just saying 90% of the people who make posts like that are, so don't get offended..
