n0kiMOD Gets VAC'd

The person who wrote n0kiMOD and I were going to write a complete client-side plugin system. That's now shot straight to Hell thanks to the VAC. The whole situation sucks right now.



I'm also not sure if it's the new modules that detect it or whether it was detected by the same modules that detected HLamp. I'm not going to try it though. I'd uninstall it as a precaution. I just saw a post about it on the HLDS and thought you guys should know.

I'm getting really tired of VAC's crap. I don't use NokiMod, and I didn't really need HLAmp either, but I liked being able to tell some people that I was listening to a certain song.

New cheats that bypass VAC come out after every single update, it's such a joke that it's detecting harmless client mods. IT'S SO GODDAMN USELESS!

VAC really isn't doing shit.



I've been a "VAC lover" for a while, but now it's out of hand. so many cheats still surpass vac, yet they continue to "catch" things such as HLAmp and n0kiMOD as cheats. I'm about 90% sure valve can do something to excluse such things, but they just arent doing so.

scared the crap out of me... a clanmate was asking me about an hour ago if I knew of a program or plugin that did it, I gave him the url since i use it. At the same time, I decided to check the site for an updated version, and got the message to not use it. I used this program as recently as last night. I'm damn lucky I didn't get "caught".

/shrug, just use the server side version. whatever valve can do to stop cheats is good.

Wow... I used to be able to at least use nokimod on VAC servers (CD has always blocked use of it) and now I can't even use it anywhere!
