I appreciate anti-cheats when I see results. I stopped playing CS for a long time because of cheaters. Today, with VAC and HLGuard, I still see at least one blatent cheater on my favorite set of servers each time I play, but it's far better then how it used to be before VAC and other anti-cheats were common. I appreciate suggestions and ideas that will help add to gameplay but... you have to admit that turning off footsteps is a wretched suggestion. Maybe whoever wrote that was thinking more in mind of cheaters than actual gameplay, but CS without footsteps is just... ugh. I'd rather play with that one guaranteed cheater than watch CS degenerate even more into teamdeathmatch.

The whole footsteps off thing is just UA being themselves... officious and silly. The point of fighting OGC by ensuring that VAC is enabled IS important though... Many servers still don't run it. Get ready to be OGC-Raped!

NoNoNo, rather than disabling sound make an improvement to the Mod itself so there is always some sound. Doesn't matter if you sneak/walk you should always be heard, even if it has to be a very faint noise. Unless you camp, well...put breathing in there too... And shadows...yeah..shadows...too bad HL doesn't support it in an effective way and good looking way. Well shadows might be overkill though... But sounds everywhere, ambient and noises player make. Try DOD and you see what I mean.

fabulous ideas there... Valve could include commands which you could bind to

some keys that would let you flatulate and relieve other bodily wastes!

You could call it Effluent-Strike! Planting the bomb would take on a whole
