That's the thing, it's not entirely luck. Recoil management is a skill.

I'm not going to get into another argument with rizzuh because he's a bitch who always wins.

Not bad not bad but It won't help me at all like you could really just stand there with a scout and fire a head shot without using the scope.

we shouldn't need to install a popup stopper to view your website.. I would rather just not spend much time there..

The popups are YOUR problem, not OURS. Its YOUR problem that people won't want to stay there for long because of the popups.

I cannot reiterate enough, read the Summerblue CS report. It is A LOT more useful than this article, even if it is from 1.3

not very useful actually. the bullet marks on the wall are created on the client, but the actual bullet paths are calculated on the server. so looking at screenshots to deduce shot results is misleading.

it would have been much better to make a map with a wall made of a grid of small breakable objects. then the *actual* bullet effects could be determined.
it doesnt really matter that the marks are drawn by the client... they actually mark where the bullet hit the wall.

but the bullet analysis is still a bit useless because there is a "random" factor involved in the recoil code. But looking at the magnitude of spread might be a bit helpful

I agree with this pots.. it makes a lot more sense than a picture of dust with red circles around bullet holes which comes up with no conclusion.

what he was saying was this: the bullet (when you're not playing on the server) does not hit where your computer draws it. It's called prediction. You can turn it off and see exactly where your bullets hit (69ms later) by typing cl_lc 0 in the console. (1 is the default). But this way you see your lag (like the pre beta ~7 days, before the new netcode).

Ya know, the funny thing is, I just finished doing this exact same thing for CS 1.5 two days ago. I guess it was just extreme boredom or something that made me do it...

(edit: one day I shall learn NOT to post the same message twice...)

without any insults wanted toward Mazuko, i would suggest the summerblue report witch is far more in depth on recoil issues

pfft only newbies crouch and aim.. u have to practice standing up and firing its the only way to get better.. alto crouching is good, i ain't looked upon highly by skilled clans that expect crouch type shots with standing posture.. e.g. 2/3 bullet bursts.. or even if u wanna do a HeatoN (why?) 5 bullet spray.. that means that the bullets land something like : Foot, Knee, Pelvis, Body, Head. But the thing the guide don't mention is the fact that most bullets fired don't register.. :/ so spraying is sometimes only way!! ..

"pfft only newbies crouch and aim" - "alto crouching is good".

Something tells me you're a newbie. Don't know what it is, though

You crouch when you can. But in most matches, since you are walking everywhere, you happen to find enemies when you are standing and don't really have time to crouch. (At least in my experience)

What the hell is the point of this. Bullet fireing patterns are completely random and where they hit is decided by the server. What a waste of time.
