I'm just going to mix Halo and CS. I'm changing all the CT and T models to different colored master chiefs and finding Halo gun replacements, and playing on Servers that have Halo maps only. No more deciding what to play.Comment

Sony PlayStation 2 now has more than 500 titles out
Xbox costs more than $300 per unit to make,
The PS2 costs only $185 per unit to make
and GameCube costs about $150 per unit.

PS2 online plan is coming in the 27 or 28 of this month and Im really excited about socom and other online games coming out for the ps2.

1 year for $50.00 a game and headset isn't bad. What isn't mentioned is that after the 1 year, it's 10 a month, $120.00 a year, which still isn't bad. Another thing that is often over looked is that this is for 1st party games, other games may have an extra charge.(if PSO came to the X-Box for example it'd be another $10.00 a month)
Nevertheless the X-Box has the best online plan by far, since it will all be broadband, and a mic is included communications will probably be at a higher level, less lag, ect. That can be said about all XBL games, but voice com is especially helpful on a game like Counter-Strike.Comment

I can only assume people who don't like the XBox are either too poor to afford one or don't have the man-ish hands required for the beefy controller. Don't just say, "uh..xb0x is gay" if all you've done is tried out WWF Raw at Walmart.
The PS2 has been around for almost two years and is on it's way out. Sorry, you Japanese-fanboy freaks. Nintendo is content to stick to kiddy games. The XBox is the most powerful console out there, and is backed by Microsoft's bottomless wallet. It will reign, biznitazchesssZ.

Ok, i dont comment much... and this is kind of a rant... but this stuff just freaking annoys me. I've got a friend that just got an X-Box and he's going ape-shit over stuff like this, he's all like "OMG SWEET, you can play XBOX LAN!!!!11 Oh, and XBOX Live is GONNA BE SOOO COOL DOOOD!!!@!" I mean yeah, Microsoft and Xbox are breaking new CONSOLE grounds, but it just pisses me off when all these noobs are like "this is so COOL, you can be in like DIFFARENT ROOMS ON DIFFERANT TVS - CONSOLE > COMPUTAR MACHIENE!!!" and I'm just like... yeah, I've been lanning it up for 7 years now, and we've all been playing Counter-Strike online with friends and clans for ages - this isnt new. This Xbox live add is all like "and yeah, i played with these friends of mine and we had fat teamwork" and they all try to hype it up by hearing the voices "Go Go! Cover me! Take the shot! Blah Blah" to make all the console freaks go "AWESOOMMME", but i swear, they would shit thier pants if they participated in a heated CS game, with gunshots all around, grenades flying all over, fat teams of real alive, intelligent players busting in and voice comm going nutty with people in the heat of battle. It just annoys me that all these game-sheltered console lovers are "this is so COOL and NEW and LAN/Internet teamwork is sweet!!!". I just think "yeah... ya noob, get with it and get a good computer". Sorry bout this, and maybe alot of this is based off my friend, but i just think its dumb.
Oh on a side note, how fun would it be if XBox CS and real CS were compatible, and to absolutely own all the die-hard console fans that swear by thier controllers as being the best FPS controlling method. Cmon... you know it would.Comment

I remember times, when Halo was made for PC only.
Valve going console means that valves PC games will be released on a console, eg gamecube xbox. half life has already done this.
CSCZ comming out as an xbox special means that CSCZ will be released for xbox, and apparently as a special. hence delays and what-not.
Halo was originally going to be released for MAC and PC. in fact one of the first showings of the game was performed on a MAC. later it was dropped and formatted and released for xbox. after a long wait its been announced that Halo will in fact be released for PC, summer 2003.Comment

Listen I used to have both the ps2 and the xbox and the ps2 is a little better then the xbox. The xbox controller grows on you even if you have little elvish hands. But the games aren't great... Sure they have Halo but thats about it.... JSR and panzer dragoon is coming out but its still way off. PS2 may not have the greatest fastest graphics out there but by far the games are far superior. GTA3, MGS2, and FFX are a few great titles already released. Not to mention the great games coming out in the future such as GTA Vice City and FF11. But the Xbox is still a very good console and its a very big threat to the ps2.
Online play differs for both system... Cost wise ps2 is the clear advantage with offering both broadband and 56k support. Even though broadband is very popular not everyone has it and a lot of "56kers" are still around...-Dice wrote..
