That animation is a bunch of crap. If I saw someone ATTEMPT to pull the pin on a nade like that, I'd die of laughter. It would take someone with a very BUFF thumb to pull the pin like that. I have thrown enough hand grenades in my time (United States Marine Corps), and you do NOT pull the pin like that. The animations alone warrant this a -5. Since I cannot award this skin a -5, I will go as low as I possibly can. It takes two hands, and always two hands, for your safety and those around you, to pull the pin of a hand grenade.

Basically, this is what happens. You have the nade, there is a pin, through the spoon (the device that flies off when you pull the pin), and then there is a second pin that holds the spoon in place, further down. It's kinda like a safety pin (no pun intended). What happens is, you first pull that safety pin, and throw it away. Then you take the grenade, while in your right hand, if you are right handed, and twist the pin that goes through the spoon. Then you pull the pin free of the spoon, raise behind your head, and throw. While throwing, the spoon will naturally fly off and be free of the grenade. Also, don't worry about "cooking". The average fuse length of a hand grenade is about 4.75 seconds. That is NOT enough time to throw and then pick up and throw back. For the left handed, it's a little bit more complicated, but it's theory is the same. You have to secure the back of the nade against the web of the thumb, and then hold the spoon with your forefinger. This is vice versa for the right. You secure the spoon with the web of your thumb, and hold the nade with your fingers. Can anyone say opposable thumbs? If you have any questions about the proper method of throwing a nade, feel free to email me, or just go ahead and flame this sotd, I don't care which you do. Also, if you don't care about this subject, fine, but don't come crying to me when you haven't got a hand because you tried to pull a pin like in this animation

Yes, exactly. This grenade kills not only with blast, but also with shrapnel. It extends it's kill radius out to about 20 feet, I believe. It has been awhile since I received my training. The effectiveness of the fragmentation grenade is much more than then he grenades used in cs. Sorry for the bloated posts on this skin, but I like some level of realism

DocSkurlock,u did write a lof of words..Good job. Hmm, this grenade may be good for people who wanna everything be non-fancy and realistic. I personally found this grenade is boring and ugly, and I will stick with this pack I complied: http://www.csnation.net/content/sotd.php?id=3968

I haven't read the review but looking at the skin I beg the question how the fuck this got 8 out of 10 D: It's worth 2 or 3 tops.

Also... as far as realism, the nade used in CS is a HE grenade which has a completely different effect then the Frag grenade (the one here). With a frag grenade,. each of those little squares becomes a spike which can easily kill you. The HE grenade is just a big blast, no flying sharp metal of death. (HE= High Explosive)

Because I like breaking the norm.

But no, really, this nade is not exactly photogenic nor functional. I would've gave it a 5 if it weren't for the whole wanting to break the norm thing.

O_o that is just a scareh model and not in a good way, i wouldn't care to be anywheres near someone that pulled the pin on a grenade like those animations ( i value not having shrapnell imbedded in my skull)

true. true. My 8 year old sister can draw a better skin than that! Hell, I can draw better than that when I'm high! It looks like something that was ripped some japanese mario 8-bit NES game. Cool anims, you can pretend your thumb is the terminator and can actually be that strong.
