How can you say that is realistic?!?!?! Do any of you go outside some time? Unscrew yourself fromt he swivel chair and go to your yard. Run then jump you dont freaking slow down! This whole jumping thing rewards campers and make awp whoring so much easier. The camper behind the box now has an advantage cuz the guy cant jump around the corner.
Umm, try this. Run around and jump carrying/wearing a rifle, pistol, a few grenades, armor, helmet, radio, bomb/defusal kit, and the other various things used by terrorists/counter terrorists in the game. See how fast you can jump around. Try doing hurdles now, come on. In real life, the affects would be greater over a longer period of time (stamina) than in CS. Oh yea, learn to use the AWP, its a good gun
In CS you aren't playing as the average joe, you are playing as either as an elite secial forces agent, the elite of the elite, or a battle hardened terrorist. These men are trained to run for countless mile with over 80 lbs. of gear. Surely they can jump and run for 20 measly feet or atleast arond a corner.

Also CS was concieved as a balance between FUN and realism. CS was realisti enough. If youwant more realism g play Firearms or DoD, don't rui our games by bitching.

and how realistic is it to have perfect accuracy while in mid air? and also, how many real-life CT's go running around with just Desert Eagles? If you're going to complain about things being unrealistic, be consistent.
did i state i was FOR/PRO realism? it's a game! and most important in an action game is ACTION! FUN! EXCITEMENT!

the last few days i haven't bought anything else than deagle of AWP because i enjoy my deagle model (which is from an anime Trigun - Vash the Stampede's gun). I enjoy playing with my 'deagle' because it's a huge gun on my screen and because i have good aim ...i still pin those CT/T down with 2or3 bullets and sometime less.

I'm sorry, i misunderstood your complaint about the non-realism of the improved para accuracy to be a complaint of non-realism.

It's not OUR game. I'm pretty sure the CS belongs to Minh, Valve, and the CS team in some sort of legal ararngement. We don't own it. So really, they can do whatever the hell to the game that they want. By playng CS you agree to play with whatever teh CS team decides to give us. If you have huge problems with it, go play something else.

Stylez: The point is that he already gets "realistic teamplay" with CS 1.4. He's not the one leaving, you are.

Now I don't think CS is realistic, but neither are DoD or Rogue Spear. Realism is 100% totally realistic, fantasy is EVERYTHING else. No game will ever be able to be totally realistic, that is why it's on a computer.
As for my stance on the realism thing, I agree with rizzuh on this point. It's impossible for a computer game to accurately depict military actions, unless you go to a higher, strategic level (but even those models have some flaws). At the first person shooter level, it's not realistic at all, and neither are games like DoD, or MOH.

What I don't agree with, is as i said above, bitching about what the CS team and/or Valve has done to "Our" game. It belongs to them, so if you don't like what they do to it, suck it up or move on. It's like when you went over to your friends place as a kid, and he had all the toys. You went over there, and played his game without complaining. And then, when he changes the rules to the game because they're his toys, and you don't like it, you went and cried to your mommy. Did crying to mommy solve anything then? No, the other kids just got pissed off at you so when your mom left, they threw blocks or transformers or hotwheels at you and hit you in the eye or some shit. Well, now there is no mommy, so all you're doing is pissing off the other kids in the sandbox. Either suck it up, or go find another sandbox. Or build your own, and if it's cooler, then all us kids will come play in your backyard.

When i use a para i want to shoot without accuracy ..just spraying ... the para is no carabin/awp/scout! There are multiple classes of weapons - fast/slow/weak/strong/accurate/spray/... the para is too strong, too accurate and too fast.

Why would you have changed the para from 1.3? what was the problem?

I didn't have any big problems with the para in 1.3. I hardly used it, but when i did, i loved it. My only complaint is that it fires WAAY too slow. What do you think of the M-60 in Condition Zero, that will have accuracy increase as you fire? But, this is going beyond the scope of the debate in this forum, which is the jupming and walkspeed issues.

hmm...so your advise for life would be, that whenever there is a problem or something not going the way we want it just turn around and so something else? now THAT'S a great advice. I'm sure with that attitude you'll make it far in life. the way of least resistance.

think about it, do you actually believe in it?

what we...well, at least some of us...are trying to do is help with constructive critizism, not bitching or crying. because that is how you can change things in this world, or at least try. a lot of us have been with counter strike for over 2 years, and it's sad to see a game go down the drain, which probably explains why we're still on this board. personally i can't understand why you would implement a change that the majority of the community (i can say that because of rze's nice little vote :)) rejects. and it's not like Valve didn't know, i was on the steam beta forums quite a bit, and a lot of people have pointed out the flaws of the new system.

by the way, with crying to my mommy i got her to buy that game

That's NOT what I meant. What I meant was that whining and complaing are not always going to work for you in the real world. And when that happens, you need to make a choice: Suck it up, or move on. As contructive as the criticism may be, it's still up to the kid who owns the toys and makes the rules (Valve/CS team) and they might not go along with your criticism. I think that;'s the case here. And if all you do is continue to bitch and moan, then yes, you should move one. If that is how you deal with things then you won't be going to far in life. Criticism is just that, a critique. It doesn't dictate what the creators will do. I mean, if that's how it worked, we would never get great action movies out of hollywood, they would all be criticaly acclamied "Masterpieces" like Magnolia. And that movie blew chunks ( and frogs). What would the world be like if that was Tom Cruises best movie, instead of Top Gun. Sad, a very sad world indeed.

But you're not Valve, Minh Le, or apart of the CS team so stop acting like you speak with them. I would take your own advice and stop whining about how other people are making constructive criticism and move on to whining about something else.

you're missing one important point. The kid who plays with his toys and makes the rules not only owns the game, but he plays it for the sole purpose of entertaining himself, thus having the right to change the rules. BUT Valve is offering a game for US (read us, not United States ) to play with. they are not making the game to entertain themselves. We are customers which entitles us to every bit of criticism (excuse my spelling earlier, I'm not a native speaker :)). You're points would have been totally true for a Mod. i remember gooseman in an early interview, where he stated something like "I want to make a game I like". i think he even said that community suggestions didn't play a big role in his decisions on how to develop the game.

Valve made CS a commercial product though ("retail"), people have payed money for it. that's why the little boy analogy fails. Imagine microsoft releasing a mandatory patch for Windows disallowing Nvidia Graphic Cards. You wouldn't just say "oh well, suck it up, buy ATI" you'd start bitching, just like we do now :). that example is of course exaggerated, but the essence is the same.

As completely asinine as GonePostal's arguments are, he has just as much right to say what's on his mind as the rest of us. This is not a popularity contest. "If you don't like it, fuck off" and other such shallow retorts are not a valid rebuttals.

Try jumping with just a pistol, is it that hard? Why cant I jump with my usp? Is it really heavy? Did my "elite" anti-terrorist just become sick?

Well I'm not even going to argue on this one 1.4BS. But I will say, you people trying to compare CS to real life things "I.E Wear this and that and carry this gun and try running and jumping" Don't know what the hell you're talking about. Actually militaries are trained to do that. They are trained to carry all that equipment and more, and still be able to take cover in a hurry. If they couldn't they'd be dead or not even in the field in the first place. And terriosts don't carry all the equipment counter terriosts do anyways. Simple fact.
