ive never downloaded cheats and i only get banned from bloodstar servers (prolly cause i have buy scripts or something) and not by VAC.

As a member of the [ caffeine ] clan in Austin Texas that runs two CS servers and sponsors two fairly large lan parties a year, I for one am just happy that Valve has finally started to do their part to combat cheating. It is true that cheating will never be completely eliminated, that's a sad fact that we all have to accept, but I've always been disappointed that for the longest time Valve pretty much left it up to third parties to defend their software. With so many servers and so many players it just didn't seem right that they appeared to be so passive. Thanks Valve for finally stepping up to the plate and helping out those of us that have not only bought your game, but support and promote your products with our own hard earned money. Doing what our clan does isn't exactly cheap and while we will still be vigilant in our policing of our servers, its comforting to know we have one more tool in our attempt to run cheat free servers.
