OGC 9 Stopped

Remember those people who doubted and continue to doubt the anti-cheat's effectiveness? They might not be banning all the cheaters, but they're stopping a lot of them from cheating. That is my proof of Valve's dedication and I am very happy to see that the anti-cheat wasn't an afterthought or some sort of window dressing.



Valve has gotten a lot of flames, perhaps some earned, but on this point they deserve nothing but praise.

Banning cheaters really isn't that good a thing to do. Most people that cheat (I'll admit it-I have cheated.) only do so for a short period of time and then grow bored of the fact that there's no challenge. Then they come back to the Side of Right.



I cheated for about a week, using OGC 7, and I got banned from alot of servers. "Oh well," I thought to myself, "there's 20,000 servers out there." When I had quit cheating, I found myself banned from alot of good servers.



I guess most admins don't really care if they've banned some reformed cheaters, but I think there should be a better solution to the problem (Maybe the solution is for Valve to keep doing what it's doing.)

Those motherfuckers. Valve should develop a more extensive anti-hack measure that would delete their copy of CS after a hack is detected.

A slap on the wrist is not enough. I've played against so many hackers. I believe vengeance is due. Besides, who are the types of people that hack? These are the types of people who would cheat on their tests, tax returns, and god knows what else. Merely disabling their hacks is not retribution enough. Punishments must be served. But, Valve does have to kiss the asses of their paying customers, and as such no such punishments have yet to be served.



Personally, I think hackers should get a taste of their own medicine.

its great they stop OGC but there is alot of other cheats NON OGC that its not stopping, the whole battle isnt against OGC, there is a few wallhacks out there that arent stopped yet and versions of XQZ2's... CDeath needs to join the Valve anti cheat team.

What I dont get is why valve doesnt just take some legal action against the myg0t organization and fix this problem for good. Maybe put a couple of their asses in jail.
