i think its funny as hell seeing all these people actually posting here with their anti-cheat problems, what the hell do you think is going to happen? This is a comments thread for a news item on cs nation, not a damn tech support line. Not that you're providing any useful information anyway, Saying 'OMFG I just got banned from my like favoritre server!' and 'I don't use cheats F U VALVE!!!!!1' does a whole lot of good. Give me a break, if you morons were actually having trouble you'd think to at least leave some real info like OS and video card type....

When this first started happening I made the assumption that it was the refresh rate fix, of course as soon as I said that I was proven wrong.
I know that after we restarted some servers that people would get kicked, but not as often and they cuold rejoin and it was fine.
I would like to thank Riz for CSNation once again. It is a great source of information.Comment

we always get people wanting to know how to remove there hacks from being banned :) , i love it it's great our answer to them when they appear "(format your hard drive )" and we tell them this is the onlyway and it turns them away from cheats 75% of the time for good thats alot bs to go through to remove hacks

You should be banned forever for that you are a shame to the whole CS community, personally I stopped playing CS a while ago because of lamers like you, If everybody "tested" cheating for a week, CS-servers would always have a cheater around.. oh, wait that has already happened. DOH!

at the end of the day it may be easy to hack HL but is it worth releasing the cheat if its gona get patched within 48hrs seems like a lot of effort for nothing. By releasing the patch valve also know who is cheating and can stop them accordingly i never thought id say this but valve is doing a very good jobComment

One thing I really admire is that on May 29th OGC 9.01 was released, then around 48 hours later Valve has it blocked in a security module update.
That really is damn fast work. I don't think system expected Valve to block it THAT fast. =D
I am especially happy that OGC 9.01 is now blocked. Too bad Valve hasn't turned on secure mode yet for TFC servers (=FaW= runs 2 TFC and 1 CS) because system was bragging OGC 9.01 is now TFC compatible too.
Oh and I see some people commented about the Valve AC not catching other cheats? Well that *IS* what HLGUARD from United Admins is for.
You can even add in custom cheat checks to HLGUARD if you wanted as well.
As a good example of a cheat Valve's AC wouldn't detect, 2 days ago HLGUARD on our CS server caught a couple of guys for colored model hacks. On our TFC server's we regularly catch people for XQZ2 v9.2 up to 9.6, and some other cheats that also work on TFC and CS.
Finally, let's hope with the CS 1.5 and HL 1110 release that they make client hooks impossible to be "hooked" period.
