Yea rizzuh, I figured you would have to remove the link. They seem to love to point out that OGC9 was made weeks ago, and therefore system outsmarted VAC. But when you look at the time between the public release date, and the VAC update, it's clear to see the effectiveness of the hack. HL is built on anceint software in computer terms, and the client DLL is open source. Writing a basic hook isn't rocket science. VAC seems to be giving the OGC team and awful lot of trouble over such an "easily hacked system". And this is just the first installment of VAC. I have a feeling the opengl hacks are next in line to be taken down. And hopefully xqz2 will finally be put to rest.



Valve is taking care of buisness, and doing a fine job at it.



And the cheaters really should just quit there whining. They still have the option to run around with there precious hooks that hack every single thing in the game. There are non-secure servers out there. But oh...that wouldn't give them any sort of advantage, and I guess they can't take losing fair and square. How ironic.

Ahahahaha aw man. Tabs is just a way for someone to play guitar without going through the bs of learning to read music. But, playing by ear is funner ; P.



It's great that so much action is being taken against cheating, it's too bad I can't get an isp that's worth playing with. = (. Good job Valve and to anyone else who's helped.

correct me if I'm wrong but won't the new module download on a map change? Therefore you wouldn't have to completely shutdown and restart....



Anywho, yeah I think this whole thing is funny, if the guys that write OGC are so talented then why don't they actually program something that is challenging since VAC is so 'easy' to hack. I don't read the OGC forums anymore, I used to harass them constantly because it was funny to see them get so angry at something that was pretty much equavilent to what they did everytime they played cs. Myg0t is even worse, they're all either kids or neonazis or both, they're so far gone they don't even speak english anymore, its just a string of homophobic or racial slurs rolled into a half-sentence that usually ends in 'STFU n00b.'

boy that was very fast. yesterday i just submitted that OGC 9.0 had came out and when i checked today it was already gone. keep up the good work valve. :)

i havent cheated (and never will, in online games at least) but my advice is to uninstall and reinstall HL/CS.

is there anyway i can scan my hard drive for cheats....i uninstalled hl and cs, reinstalled it and that didn't work...im sure i dont have to reinstall my OS, any easier way?

just sometimes i hear some sweep pick or something and i cant figure it out on my own i have to go look it up on TC and plus i post on the forums there (as reverse)

OGC is built to unload itself if it detects its being detected. So cheaters aren't caught, but they can't cheat.
