This is great, but what the anti-cheat program should be doing is banning people so that they can't get a different or more sophisticated cheat and come back.

im not in any clans. i made a pact with myself a while ago never to join one. they are useless unless you are really good and want to go to the CPL or something.

This is due to the server you tried to connect on having the new updated Valve Anti-Cheat module that stops OGC 9. The way to fix this is to restart the server.



correct me if i'm wrong but this helped last time when such problems occured after phase 1 of VAC

nononono, thats not what i meant. It's not by any means dependent on your computer. The actual GAME SERVER has to be restarted by the serveradmin. :)

Kidding aside, couldn't they go after orginizations like Myg0t using the Rico act? They do post how to crash servers, steal CD keys, steal passwords, etc. Now if they just showed how to do it that might be OK, but some members of Myg0t and other groups talk about how they have done it.



I have no basis for this, just theorizing with my limited Law and spelling capabilities.

I don't really care about the radar glitch, nades going through bomb shelters, and that whole glitch about not being able to shoot people nearby(I actually stopped rushing to avoid it) running at a certain angle to you or whatever it was pointed out in the summerblue report that happens alot. I'm all fine and dandy with it if phase 2 of the anti cheat stops xqz and some other little cheats. This is the second time valve has made me happy enough to feel like really excited, sweet. Though I think about that guy from FLF now and feel bad .

I like how they're asking cheaters to spam you, though. I get enough spam as it is, you can join in on the fun :)



The child murder thing was an analogy, not a comparison. Basically, don't use cheats if you're not prepared to get banned for using them. The reason it's an analogy, btw, is because the punishment is being banned from a computer game, not facing the death sentence.



Whoever wrote that on the OGC forums should understand that I am indeed too smart to think that any sort of real crime is comparable to cheating in CS. Censorship and prosecution of cheaters is something I do not support (sorry about the irony of removing the link MikeJ, I get a lot of flak for POSTING about OGC, much less letting future team members link to them).



And here I was, thinking pundits are too smart to cheat.
