I don't understand what the problem is here. I own an X-Box and a PC. I had the PC before the X-Box and it is a high end PC. I love to play CS on my PC. BUT....



I'm really looking forward to CS on the X-Box. Have you guys seen the graphics on HALO?? I have, and they're better than the PC CS graphics. I've also played Halo online. Believe it or not, there are good programs out there such as X-Box connector that allow online gaming today. The gameplay is great but will be even better with the dedicated servers on X-Box Live.



The other complaint I'm hearing is the controls. There will be a Keyboard and mouse for the X-Box so what's the problem?? I had a Dreamcast with a keyboard/mouse with Quake 3 and I don't see how the PC would be any different? The only difference then may have been the graphics. The X-Box's graphics are awesome. Just play Halo. And another thing, the controller is pretty fuckin' awesome. The thumbsticks are also buttons for those of you who've never played it. You can press the thumbsticks down to use special weapons functions, zoom, etc.... Sensitivity can be adjusted also. I believe with a little practice, this controller can be as good or almost as good as the mouse/keyboard setup.



So, for those of you who don't own the X-Box, don't knock it. I understand the traditional faults in the console systems, but the X-Box has done an awesome job of overcoming them.



And not to mention the fact that you can play online while 3 of your friends play along........my wife is gonna hate it! And X-Box is HDTV compatible although the resolution is great even without it. All I need now is the 54" Bigscreen TV and one of those beer drinking hats that hold two beers and come fullly equipped with a Crazy Straw.



Just give it a chance. There will always be CS on the PC. And until the X-Box version comes out we'll never know for certain how it'll compare.

I guess this debate is dead now, but no one responded to my arguements, oh well I guess I stop trying to contribute something worthwhile and just flame like everyone else.

Let me clarify, I'm not saying that the X-Box has better graphics than a PC. I'm assuming the X-Box CS version is going to be fine tuned to take advantage of the things it does do well. I'd like to know if its going to be CS-CZ. I was told it was going to be Condition Zero. If so it will be a new experience like the PC version of CZ. I'm sure the graphics will be similar. I just hope that they can get the graphic quality similar to Halo. I don't care if it's on the PC or X-Box. I have both. Halo has weather, rain, snow, etc. It's a neat experience.

Ok no one addressed the custom map issue.I really like custom maps and would not be able to stand dust,assault, and aztec 500 rounds in a row.So what are they just going to have 10 maps?

It would be nice if they could/would tex but they're not reworking the hl engine to port the game (after all, and I think some people have looked over this, valve, gearbox, and ms are doing this to make money...), so no matter how good the xbox hardware is, cs wont take full advantage of it

also kagartoe, i figured this would be a big issue since alot of what makes cs so cool (as with any other pc game) is the customization factor, new skins, spites, sounds, maps, and anything else you can think of (I mean hell, cs is a mod after all, something that would be impossible to develop for a console). All content will be delivered by the Xbox Live servers, so... and this is just speculation, I doubt you'll be able to use any of it with cs on xbox.

i dont own an xbox, but i think that people who make these games should know the limits. CS cannot or should not be played on a console, just like tony hawk pro skater, tekken, virtua fighter, street fighter etc. shouldnt go on the pc.

I think cs for the xbox would be pretty neat. That way people who don't have a computer can still have the chance to play it on an xbox if they have one. A lot of people still have dial-up anyway... so people with xbox consoles maybe can play multi-player without going online with the lil' split screen thing like in golden-eye or halo. Plus they won't experience lag like they usually would if they dial-up through a pc or through xbox.

Sick, I've been playing CS for some time and one day I decided to try out HALO since at that time in my friends place, they were playing it. Moving the joystick will take some getting used to especially to aim. Also, if CSX allows four player split screen mode, then I will give it three thumbs down (if I had the third one). In HALO split screen gameplay, a popular trick which can be perceived as CS wallhackin is to look at your opponent's side to figure out where he/she is. Now if we had that kind of thing in CSX, boooo. However, they might not include split screen gameplay but like said by someone, what about text communication, the voice commands in CS proves inadequate except for those that are easy to intepret, also many people never use the radar so commands like "Enemy Spotted" barely works unless you type something after it like "bridge" or "tunnel". Voice? yea, I never use it because someone is bound to be not able to hear me and 1.4 removes the eavesdropping of radio commands so I prefer radio commands over the more versaitile mic. In xbox, maybe they will have a mic for online gameplay but I doubt many would want to use it even if they could capitalize it. Take for instance lets say my mic can be heard by everyone on my team, I still wouldn't wanna use it because I don't get privacy when playing games, someone is bound to wonder whats all that screams of "He's in the bridge", "help me dammit, three health left", "ima throw a flashbang and we all rush in" etc. Ughh, imagine hearing that when your brother is playing and you're studying for a big final like I am..."rush the god damm tunnel you cowards!!!"

Who the **** says xbox looks better than pc! If you have some beater of a video card maybe so. If you have a radion 8500 or gf4 ti xbox cant compete. I cannot agree with anything zimzap says. PC will be around forever, xbox will be done in a year.(if microsoft gets a break that is) Halo sucks so much d**k it looks your mom not look like a slut. The sad thing about too is Halo is xbox's best game. --------------------------------------------------
