Why are CS players so adament that CS doesn't go to the Xbox? I really don't get it.



Is it so they can still show off to their Xbox friends that PC has CS?

Do they not want their favourite game to go to other platforms?

Do they feel as if the PC version will be abandoned?

Are they whiney little (American) teenagers who want to complain about something (most likely due to their sexual frustration).

Is it because they Just Don't Get It?



There's an element of jealousy in it, I'm sure. "Waa, you can't have this, it's mine. Go away you bastards! CS is MY game, you can't take it! Waa! Waa!"



I know what I mean in my head, just can't explain it. Basically, I don't get how someone can be anti the evolution of a game (I assume) they enjoy already on the PC. Ok, so it goes to Xbox. IT'S NOT GOING TO AFFECT YOU. Quit complaining about something that has absolutely no affect on your whatever.

Umm. About the jumping and gravity... I read an interview where they said that the gravity is just like in earth, but the master chief is like 5 meters tall and that they said that it looks like that when a 5 meters tall robot jumps.. or something.

I think CS on XBox is a good idea because if I said otherwise then I would be a hypocrite to wanting a Half-Life game for to GameCube (Which Randy Pitchford said he wants to do.)

HL game for the gamecube?

Apparently you're joking, but there are no real benchmarks so it's basically impossible to tell. The XGPU, as they call it, is basically a GF3 with a second vertex shader. A GF4 is an updated GF3 GPU with a second vertex shader.



I know this because outside is foreign to me.

No one bothered to tell these gimps what to think, so they had to wing it and form some sort of opinion on their own. The result is what you see. "M$ sux!" and "i'm 1337 hax0r because i use a PC" stigma abound. The bandwagon just rolls downhill from there.

LOL, haven't you seen all the posts from THS saying "where's the mailbox? How can I submit to the mailbox? Can someone tell me where I can write to the mailbox?" etc? It's freaking hillarious!



Personally, I always get insulted when I submit to the mailbox... yet I always end up laughing my head off in spite of it. The whole point of the mailbox, as I've seen it lately, is for people to submit their wonderful thoughts, and have them ripped apart in funny ways by Rizzuh. Call me a masochist, but I really enjoy the mockery, the humor that is outrageous, irreverant, and completely out of proportion to reality... that's exactly what makes it funny!



I love the mailbags, personally. Sure I get made fun of, but it's great reading the comments that get made about all our stuff. We give Rizzuh enough crap through the comments sections that he finally gets to have a little revenge in the mailbag. Enjoy the humor, or just skip that section of CS-Nation.



I will make one complaint, though. I remember back a while, when the mailbag topic was something like "what map do you hate the most, and why?", and some guy proceeded to talk about his favorite map. The comment was simply a picture of a baby looking at CS-Nation on the computer, with the words across it "Hi, my name is (whatever), and I cannot read mailbag topics." I seriously laughed for like 10 minutes over that one... any time I looked at that picture I just died laughing all over again. Granted, you can't always come up with something that absolutely hillarious, but some of those really sarcastic pictures have been great in the past. (The "There is a reason I am not a game designer" one was pretty good too.) Toss a few of those back in if you get a chance... those were a great way of singling out the dumbest submission for sheer mockery... good times. :)



And yeah, I know it may sound kind of insincere after you've mentioned that you'd like to hear "good job" a little more often and see a little more appreciation for busting your butt keeping this site going. Not only Rizzuh, but the whole CS-Nation team... I think you can rest assured that the fact we're all here, bitching and moaning, but still loyal to your site, is evidence enough that we all love this site, and really, really appreciate the work you guys put into it.



There's always going to be offended people, and those people will always be the most vocal. Hard as it is, try to remember that the vast majority of us out here, reading your site really are thankful for the hard work you put into it. Keep it up!



(BTW... let the anti-"racism" comments and console-bashing/praising comments die already, eh? We all have different opinions, no need to force one down someone else's throat. To quote someone who posted earlier on CS-Nation in a wonderfully politically incorrect way... "Arguing on the internet is like the special olympics: even if you win, you're still a retard.") Let's think about it. There are two obvious choices - pro Xbox CS, or anti-Xbox CS. Then there's a third - the neutral vote.



Pro Xbox CS:

- play CS on a console

- play CS with better graphics/sound/gameplay

- play CS in a more 'social' way (console vs. PC argument there)

- even playing field for all players

- no cheating (?)



Anti Xbox CS:

- BAD ARGUMENT: "itll sux cock"

- BAD ARGUMENT: "u cantt controle big snipar awpp"

- BAD ARGUMENT: "varlve sux cokl"

- BAD ARGUMENT: "Gooseman is a sell-out"

- BAD ARGUMENT: "ill have to get an xbox to play cs" - NO YOU WONT THE PC VERSION WILL STILL EXIST MORON

- BAD ARGUMENT: "u sux cokk"

- GOOD ARGUMENT: "I'm actually neutral."



Neutral:

- PC CS won't be affected by the Xbox version (not much - I mean, it's not like it won't exist after an Xbox version is released)

- BAD ARGUMENT: I like peas.



Don't know what that's all about, but it seemed to make sense.



I'm not pro-Xbox CS, but certainly not anti it. I'm neutral.



Please, someone explain to me why CS should not go to console in relation to the fact that you can still play it on the PC. Ignore the possibility that it might fail on the Xbox - I want a REASON why it SHOULDN'T be put on the Xbox. Bear in mind that the conversion would adapt the game in order to make it possible to play on the console as well as on the PC (no "you can't use an AWP with a joypad" crap) - even if it means elements of the PC version are lost.
