You guys have no idea what real teamplay is....Real teamplay is where an entire team is one organism.



When I play a clan match I KNOW where my teamates are and if there in trouble - i dont even have to look.



In a top clan match both clans will play like this. SO what will differentiate between them? In cs1.3 it was indduvidual resilience and flare. In cs1.4 its damn luck...



So whats the point of clan matche now ha? ha ferret?

Im not going to leave cs because of this. I still never leae the top of the scoreboard and I still make a joke of most newbies - you just make it a lot harder and a lot less fair on those who have put in all the hard training.



Of course you newbies dont care but one day when you incredibly good youl look back and say "if only they hadnt dont that 1.4 thing"

Gee-Wiz......Maybe a little cheese with all this "WHINE" might be appropiate.....CS is still a fun and totaly enjoyable game. I look at it this way......If you don't like the new rules...DON'T PLAY....Plain and simple. Maybe take up nitting and floor-washing because the tears you guys shed are making it slippery!!!! Just my opinion, lighten up and maybe you'all can become respected players again....Who knows.

gemini you have no idea what you are talking about. Teamwork IS the key to CS no argument there. ALso the induvidual talent comes into play - at the end of the day here are the rules:



1) If you dont play as a team you WILL lose

2) Only induvidual flare will get 2 kills for the price of 1 - which wins the game

I don't have a problem with someone who has the skill to kill an entire team on his own. just those who think they should be able to do it every time, and if they do get kills start spamming like nuts.

If you can kill 10 guys with a mac10 and a usp, you probably wont have a problem adjusting to 1.4:

your skill should be beyond jump-shooting

Thanks gemini. No I dont expect to do that every time - I usually only full off something like that once a week...but still...



My usual kill ratio is only about 3:1 vs average players and 2:1 vs clanners and I know there are a hall of a lot of better players out there even on the servers I play.



No I wont have a problem adjusting. I dont mind adjusting since it adds a new perspective to things and a new challenge.



I never jump shoot infact. My usual tactics is as follows in case anyone wonders how I do it:



1) Buy fast and run in the safe zone with a knife. Switch to pistol and rifle when close to the encounter range.



2) Weave unpredictable in and out of cover charging the enemy and strafing with a pistol



3) When I reach 3m switch to an m4 or any primary (tmps work well) and open up on them as they reload. If i can I try to get them lined up to divide there fire



4) If they begin to return accurate return fire i immediately flee and reload then come at them from a diifferent angle



You see this is the beauty and skill of cs - you can be rambo if you have the skill and the time...I just dont want that spoiled



I'll stop moaning now since ive made every point worth making. And thank you to the team that worked on the mod - you do work hard I can see that

[I think what a lot of this comes down to is the following arguments:



1. Should we be allowed to whine about a game that isnt ours[as in gooses and his team], and doesnt cost?



2. Who do we blame?



3. Are the CS team allowed to have a go at us for not liking it[bearing in mind they listen to beta testers and spend ages making the thing]?



4. Are we bitching or are we making valid points?



(1) OK, i seem to remember a statement from gooseman somewhere with words to the effect that he made CS for himself to play, not anyone else. No one is denying that goose had that right as a mod maker-but thats not what CS is anymore. I myself went and bought the retail just cos i liked the mod and thought they deserved the cash, but by taking our money-they are now part of a business with valve, and they have to listen to the customers dont they? So, yeah.... whining is definitely valid, if you want people to play your game, then you cant tell them to f off no matter how many customers you have.[sorry phyx but we dont have to live with it]. I know the cs guys get whined and messaged and aggrevated all the time when a release comes out, but maybe they might admit they could of done something different as no ones perfect and if it was right they wouldnt have to keep patching it[maybe thats to do with cheaters-another discussion].



2. Blame.... just dont bother blaming anyone. So many people are involved with the CS game now that you cant assign blame to any one group or individual. Plus it isnt really on, some of us may have payed for the priviledge to play[retail cs] but it doesnt mean you should act like an arsehole. Everyone is human.



3. The CS team dont really have a go at us id say. Maybe i worded that wrong, but they do seem isolated from the public even with beta testers and what not. Id just like the chance to talk to them once in a while as im sure everyone else would. Perhaps a monthly open IRC chat, i know they're busy but we arent all idiots[<--opinion].



4. When you have as many comments about 1.4 as this, and you read every single one then by the time you are done you may be inclined to suggest that people are getting a little stressy on the subject and are heading towards ranting bitching. OK sure, but notice the following; that the vast majority of these comments are negative [if you like it would you bother to comment though?], and most of them are trying to answer peoples questions. Taking an overall survey by poll wouldnt hurt the situation obviously, but maybe csnation readers are biased. The point is, it doesnt really matter which it is, as all peoples points are valid. So please read them all properly and dont just point reject them.

i dont know if you read that.... but the gist of it is-we are allowed to whine;cs does cost money; cs is OUR game. And as well as that, the 'n00bs' may be annoying you '1337' players, but its their game just as much as yours so stop giving them the n00b flaming.

seriously, im not going to waste me life reading the previous 170 posts, so if this has been mentioned... i dont care



but yeah the main way this jump slow down thing affects me is by slowing me down when im jumping around like a fool at the start of the round/until getting to a position where engagement by the enemy is possible.... i find this annoying as hell



sure, realism blah blah, you shouldnt be able to jump,



but it makes the game even more serious/boring, and takes even more fun elements away from it.



Now, while this has great application in clan games whatever, in which the game ISplayed very seriously, problem is, on line, or just in a game with some friends the game is never played serious anyway... i mean theres simple to many wankers playing online



and the vast majority of cs is played online/pub/fun lan games not crappy serious clan matches, when, except for bunny hoppers no one jumps around and acts the fool anyway



i just want to be able to jump around like a fool on the rails in dust again=(

Hmmm Ive just discovered a way to bypass the jump thing anyway



1) Jumpcrounch

2) Hold down crouch when you land so you land kneeling

3) immediately let go of crouch as soon as your feet hit the ground and move forward at normal speed lol!!!!



Try it guys hehe!!!



Pistol kickback only applied when moving forward but its quite easy to move sideways and zig-zag your way towards the enemy....ROFL



thank you developers youve made it harder to become skilled which is a good thing cos i love a challenge and youve made the newbies job even harder....I do pity them (reallly i do)

I am afraid the argument of the jumping nerf being more realistic dont hold much water, as others have said. I in real life being MR unfit can jump over several small obstacles when I go paint balling with out breaking stride, while still fireing quite well.



Add to this the removal of hearing radio messages of the other team even when they are right next to you, makes the game less realistic.



For more reality why not include crawling or the ability to carry more than one HE or stop guns from firing through huge blocks of stone as on Aztec.

What it means m8 is that legitimate jumping can still be done with out the pause ie jumping over an obstacle such as a desk in Office without landing in glue.
