i was playing yesterday, and nobody was rushing, shooting shots off into distant walls, or talking...everyone is...CROUCHING AND CAMPING..you know HOW BORING IT IS now...servers that have 4 minute rounds....last 4 minutes..not 1 minute like in 1.3....it's so BORING now

1.4 is forcing OH SO many people to quit the game

i'm only sticking around cause its' more addicting than drugs

Its always like this in any game. This is what happens:



Stage 1) it starts off a game of skill and you get thousands spending their lives trying to learn it to become effectively superhuman except vs other veterans. They benifit hugely but also put their time, blood sweat and tears into it.



Stage 2) Eventually the game becomes so popular that newbies vastly outnumber the pros. The newbies complain saying "ooo its not fair. How does he do that?...waaa woo waaa..." etc,



Stage3) The game developers who rightly listen to the majority end up listening to the newbies who want to get good fast but dont know what the hell they are talking about and dont realise that nothing is free.



Stage4) They bring out a mod which is basically a ffa newbie fest where you can never excell and newbies become pros in less than an hour



Stage5) The pros leave the game because it no longer has any skill.



Stage6) The newbies leave because they no longer have anyone to look upto, there is no organised clan matches/ community and the game is just a joke to anyone except a total noob.



Stage7) The pros find a new game of skill to sink there teeth into and everyone moves there....bibi old game that used to be so rewarding.



Stage8) Everyone brings out memorial websites to remember 'the good old days' and veterans meet once a year for the odd small game



Believe me Ive see this happen to so many games and it always goes the same way eg) ultima online is a great example...

Ok i believe i was a whiner about 1.4 and i was wrong yes its only been 48 hours or soo since its release and yes ppl are bitching about the jumping however can i just add that the new jumping (i believe) has braught a sence of realism again back to the game! its like a stamina sort of add me thinks with the jump then the pause! also can u imagine in a real life situation the SAS storming a building and continusly jumping i mean get friggen real! i think the new jumping is a step forward i do also believe however that it could be slightly tweaked so u dont get such a *long* lag after the jump

Further most can i just add that iam going to get used to it and any petition i have signed i have gone back on my word i believe its a good add

GLR-Kebab I can tell your a class player cos of the way your talking hehe. What do you do in 1.3 vs an awp at lr - charge him using cover with rapid firing usp... what do you dp vs that newbie awper in 1.4? heres my suggestions:



1) stand still and wave your knife at him to try to attract attention in the hop youl die faster and wont have to waste time about it

2) run away like a loser

3) get out your own awp and prove your just as lame as the other guy but perhaps more skilled.

4) spray and pray like a noob

CrazyNewbieGuy you will find that the good players arent complaining about the jumping - there complaining about the way it has been impelemented - the first jump should not be stagered - 2nd jump should be massively stagered.



An even greater concern is what has been done to pistols.

yep, most players (if not all) who shit about 1.4 now played like this:



Start with "you loser, camper, noob, etc." when a CT protects a bombsite in dust or another de_ map



When they do get to the bombsite as T, they don't even look at it: they just go "me want frag, frAgs, FRAAAAAAAGS", go around the corner and BLAM!!! hs, dead. Then go back to "lOser, nOOb, camper"

( just like last round).



next round: jump around the corner and JUMP JUMP, BLAM BLAM eagle HS. Oh YEAAAAA am so l33t, look at that skill. then get popped by the second CT behind the other crate (the CT's play together here) and our 'skilled' T goes "..." (you now)

gemini you have no idea what you are talking about. Teamwork IS the key to CS no argument there. ALso the induvidual talent comes into play - at the end of the day here are the rules:



1) If you dont play as a team you WILL lose

2) Only induvidual flare will get 2 kills for the price of 1 - which wins the game



CS is about teamplay and induvidual skill working in harmony...



Oh and btw i never moan when i die i usually say pld or shoty cos the guy deserves it - moaners are stupid. Ive killed a whole team - 10 guys on my own with a mac10 and a usp. Can you do that??? Do you think I worked hard to learn how to do that? YES

I don't actually give a crap if a clan "retires" because of 1.4. I still love the game. Hell people stop playing all sorts of games but this game thrived on a community of a few thousand. As I see it, those that make a declaration to leave without even playing with the changes aren't all that gung-ho about the community to begin with.
